I would rather Dawson off the HBF rotation then slow old finlayson
Dawson isn't especially quick. Finlayson would be a fair bit quicker, I reckon. In any case, we need Dawson floating across half-forward where his marking and long, accurate goal kicking can be at their greatest advantage.

He's not really a Sydney boy. He's from somewhere in the Riverina I think. That vague direction, anyway. He moved up to Sydney in his last couple of years in the Giants academy though, so maybe he's starting to feel at home in Sydney.

I heard a rumour that Tom Mitchell wants a trade back to Sydney.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Given where our list currently is, we might expect more of a focus on recruiting an inside mid (or two) in this year's draft, regardless of whether there's a mature player lined up to join the club. As such, the most recent AFL draft podcast this week is of some interest. The first two players featured - Caldwell and Hately- probably won't be available to the club if they go in with draft picks similar to where they currently stand. But Smith (Ely, not Bailey) looks to have some of the attributes you'd think the club might be looking for. From the short clips included in this podcast he looks to have some OK speed (not express) but, more importantly, he's a put-the-head-over the ball kind of player.

If this was true I'd have him in a heartbeat.

I watched jezza at gws academy
I watched give up wrestling a guy smaller

He is not the answer for me
              Slow !!!

But he might be the answer for others

My preference is for counter punch

For me our squad lacks two players like this

I want mills and jones min 50% in the midfield

Therefore we need more HBF run and carry

Newman kicks as well as jezza butge is not the answer for me either

Happy to be wrong about Lloyd. Re-signed for four years. I find it very interesting how this has been announced late on a Friday while Jake is overseas.

That would be brilliant! Now to offload a few players and bring in a gun midfielder. I hope we get it done.

The Lloyd deal is confirmed! Signed until 2022.

4 years is a good deal for the club. A young player entering his peak years. Maybe we can start using him in a different role. (midfield)

So the trade pieces are falling in place?

                                So happy
Lloyd is integral as our exit master
Especially with macca retiring I won’t be surprised to see more of Ollie Florent down back too on our transitions
