General footy chat RWO #AFL Round 3 weekend discussion thread

I don?t know who normally starts these threads but I?ve just switched on to the ?massive? Blues v Pies Friday night game.

Cheering the Blues tonight. I?m enjoying watching their young side develop. Cripps is a star and Curnow is very exciting.

I feel like the Blues are going to win already.

Thanks for starting the thread, it doesn't matter who starts it

Tipped the Pies, but realise I don't want them to win. I want them to lose so that Bucks and then Eddie get sacked!

And how bad is their disposal, they miss every second or third target by foot. And keep handballing forward to a contest. Weird!

Pies lose and Buckley will be in big trouble.

I can't believe Buckley was renewed based on the argument Hardwick suddenly coming good after 5+ years of rubish.

A Hardwick fairytale happens once in a lifetime.

Yep, was Bucks saved via an Eddie intervention?

Their hands have been good, but kicks are all over the place and nowhere near enough forward defensive pressure on the ball.

Gee, Carlton are bloody awful. Completely inept. They're making Collingwood look like a half decent team, but it's quite easy to find targets when the opposition is all flat footed and just allow your players to run and stand in space.

Who was it who decided that Liam Jones was a good defender? He was talked up from the middle of last season but he was dreadful in round 23 against Buddy and in the first three rounds of this season he's been worse.

Commentator said he's conceded 35 goals in his last 5 games = averaging 7 a game! Collingwood targeting him very effectively.

How can a club be rebuilding for 16 years and make absolutely no progress? And what a poor advertisement for having the number 1 draft pick. How can Weitering be so bad? Kade Simpson will be 34 next month and is probably still the best player at Carlton.

Weitering will come good. He's just way down on confidence at the moment, and having to play alongside Jones must be a trial for anyone. But Cripps and Curnow, who were both pretty good in the round one game against Richmond, are having zero impact. It's hard to understand Cripps, particularly, given he does his important work at the coal face. The awful delivery to Curnow isn't making his job easy.

Blues had three #1 draft picks 12-14 years ago, Murphy, Gibbs, can?t remember the third. Got them nowhere.

Jed Lamb is still soft as. Weitering looks like he's really NOT enjoying his football ATM. How good would it be to have Brodie Grundy at the Swans?
