So has this unearthed a superior plan, if so where does Buddy play forthwith.
We can?t go back to the antiquated plan. It?s too easy to beat.

      A great win.

A few things. A whopping game by Kennedy. Sinkers is better as a ruck. Heeney is having one hell of a year and attacks any contest like a total beast. That?s why we should keep playing Florent and Hayward, as they will be a bit inconsistent, but by god they add something and will keep getting better. We will miss McVeigh.. and Fox did a good job

But two big shout outs - Ronke. Could be Papley?s partner in crime. And Jones has played some good games. But I haven?t seen him truly help us win one in the way he did today.

Oh, and I?ve never bagged Horse.

And Stevic is an outrageous .... (finish this sentence for me)

It wasn't a sling. He fell with Horlin-Smith and the head hitting the ground was incidental. Even Dunstall thought it was ok and just an accident.

I have noticed that very few Swans fans (including you and me) bother to comment on the AFL tab on The Roar anymore and I think it?s because of him. Impossible to have a balanced discussion with a hater.
Not worth the effort anymore - though I might pop on there at some stage over the weekend to see his reaction.

There are several others on there that drive me to derision from other clubs as well - in particular a couple of hawks fans.

Brilliant - watched it early morning in Casablanca, woke everyone up in the last quarter. But how offensive to our boys is Dwayne Russell suggesting that we are a one-man team and today will prove that either way? It's either hatred of our club or utter stupidity. Either way I want 5 minutes out the back with him to straighten him out.

it was an outstanding performance from our lads to stick at it and run over the top of them in the 4th. Whether it's because we wanted it more, we are fitter, we had momentum, whatever, who cares? We were brilliant and it's great to see the young guys becoming more and more important to the team. I'm looking forward to the home game against North next week to see a continuation of this form. I just wish it was a day game!

The humble pie I?m eating is quite tasty. I had a crack at the match committee for the team selections - my apologies to John & co.

I had a bit of time so read this thread from start to finish. Wow. It was interesting and entertaining. We certainly have our fair share of fair weather supporters who are quickly keen to lay the boot when it looks like a loss. Some of you must have whiplash from the U-turn that was done in the fourth quarter.

As I mentioned in another thread, today showed how reliant we actually are on JPK rather than Buddy. You take him out of the last quarter and we probably lose by 30. What an unassuming legend he is. So glad that we got him all those years ago from Hawthorn. Whatever Mitchell does for them will never compare to Joey?s impact for us.

It's just natural instinct for the game.
He is an automatic selection every week as far as I'm concerned.
Papley is an automatic in for me. He has what they call the X factor and at times he does some brilliant. Though he has had a quite year. I thought maybe JPK has succumbed to age and injuries, silly me! He is back! Still stunned we won and it was a strange match to watch. Loved that Robbie Fox mark and he could be a good forward option worth considering?

That's why Hayward needs to be picked every week.

I love in the Twitter feed the short clip of the swanies crowd all singing the song!!!!

Literally that is the first time I have seen everyone singing it with such passion.

And rightly so; this really was one of the most stirring wins i have seen the swans do.

So far down at 3/4 time, but to then just blow them away, awesome!

I don't think the win takes away from the reaity of the problems that the coaches have in dealing with Longmire. Today Longmire refused to man up. Instead he allowed an extra back for them. he allowed this for two quarters, the middle quarters. Funnily they actually seemd to get on top in those quarters. As soon as Longmire re-instituted the man on man scenario we started to win the ball again. If you have belief you can win you will. but if you don't believe in the game plan you will get flogged. We were at the precipice just before three quarter time. But Longmire relented to his line coaches and re-instituted the man on man scenario.

What that did was free up players all over the forward line because the Cats players had to match up a player. The mids got more confidence in banging the ball in and keeping it low. Notice they kept the ball as low as possible and not just bombing it as they did in most of the second and third. I'm certain that this was forced on Horse by the line coaches. I say that because I have seen matches in which Horse has refused to change the game plan and we have lost. Especially against Hawks.

I was wondering how someone could turn this inspiring victory into a criticism of Longmire and now you?ve satisfied my curiosity.
