The frees have been very biased - how about Sicily getting done 20 metres out by Ronke - play on of course.
I said we should have picked McCartin against Geelong - he is standing very tall and doing good stuff in his first game. Ronke, well, I would not be suprised if he doesnt score in the second half or kicks another 5!Comment

We?ve had a few better centre square players, we?ve had a few better clearance or contested ball players, but I?m not sure I?ve seen a player with a pure attack on the contest and the ball in all its forms since Paul Kelly like Heeney.
The ball, a hand in, a tackle, a scrap, things in dispute in the air, you name it - he goes so 100 percent hard at it.
And yes, I know that making any comparison to Paul Kelly is the call it is.
But Heeney is a beauty and he?s been mighty tonight.Comment

Chase down pressure has been very good tonight. Probably due to the conditions as well, but Hawthorn haven't been able to play their keeping off game tonight.
Heeney and Parker were starting to assert themselves in that quarter. Hewett is doing a good job keeping job on Mitchell: nine possessions and I reckon four of them were blatant throws.
And another five from Ronke would be handy.Comment

We had more of the play that quarter...a shame we couldn't get a couple more goals.
The umpiring is frustrating at the ground but it's hard to tell without replays. As I mentioned before the marking infringement ones are annoying me!

A few soft/non frees gone the wrong way.
We're seeing the future here guys, a fleet of speedy players with footy smarts. Better start adjusting your Best 22, a guy named Ronke look to be on his way big time. Was a very good U18, surprised he slipped as far as us in the RD, Kinnear Beatson, take a bow!Comment

Hewitts doing a good job keeping Mitchell quiet. After seeing the pre game interview of Mitchell - his attitude of entitlement confirmed why I never thought much of him.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Yes I think we could make a legitimate complaint about the review process being inconsistent, I would like the club to look into registering a protest about that.
As for the game. I'm liking the look of these young players, whatever happens we are seeing some good signs for the club's future and that's a great thing for us. I expect the umpires to determine this one BTWComment
