Cunninghams best game
Should only be in the side to tag a running defender
Tagged out S Hill years ago and has rarely been used in the role since
Robinson not good enough
Jack was terrible early but came thru good when he went i to the middle lateComment

Jack's form is way down on his hey day but there's no-one running around in the reserves who'd contribute more IMO (and that includes Newman). His second half wasn't bad at all and he was responsible for some of the cleaner delivery inside forward 50.
I'm baffled by your comment on Smith. I think he's been fantastic this year and was solid yesterday.Comment

Yes, not particularly gracious by Clarkson. Are there still fines for criticising umpires? Or doesn't it count, if you frame it as a criticism of your opponents?
Either way, perhaps it should be pointed out to him, the number of times that our forwards, particularly Rohan, were held out of contests. And a plethora of other Hawthorn infringements were constantly ignored. There were a large number of unpenalised blatant throws. While in the back seemed to perfectly okay this week, but last week, it was rule of the week.Last edited by dejavoodoo44; 12 May 2018, 11:00 AM.Comment

Smith has been very good this year. Always lifts under pressure. Thought Jack ran on really well during the fourth quarter.Jack's form is way down on his hey day but there's no-one running around in the reserves who'd contribute more IMO (and that includes Newman). There have been a number on this site poised to pounce on Longmire at any opportunity. We are 5 and 3 with a significantly depleted list. His ability to extract effort and pressure from the list, which by the way last night consisted of 10 players who were originally rookies, is remarkable and should be applauded.Comment

Interesting how all this is going down...If Tom Mitchell can elbow Todd Goldstein in the back of the head and get away with it, I'm sure McVeigh will be fine. It's all about the impact and the result of the contact for the AFL MRP.
Also, I haven't seen him mentioned yet, but Cunningham quietly claims another scalp this year. Shut down the potentially damaging Isaac Smith who had just 16 disposals tonight and Harry had 27 himself.
All about Ronke - fair.
Many people on Facebook high fiving Rohan after that late mark.
Great mark - average game again.
Cunningham was really good.
Jones didn't make the errors he usually does.
Crazy comments about Heeney.
For the first time I could see the slowness of McVeigh and Grundy really hinder their games. Having said that Grundy covers some distance during the game, and I'm not suggesting either lose their spot, nor and I trying to start a debate - just noticed it more tonight.
Would be interesting to see how all this went down of we lost.
Fickle game. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

I thought that was actually one of Jones' best games for us... I think he still needs to improve his disposal, but he was obviously taking a look around for the best option last night and it worked well for him. Hopefully he will continue to improve like this..Interesting how all this is going down...

In my experience RWOers, myself included, normally turn on Horse and start melting down during games, particularly against Hawthorn.
Maybe it?s different expectations - this time last year Hawks were a rabble before they beat us, but it actually felt like the Swans were in a fair fight and Horse had a plan to beat them.
I don?t see any major gnashing of teeth during the game.
Winning definitely helps!Comment
