I know their historical faith in Rohan, but I'd be really surprised if he played next week.Comment

Just had a glance at the stats. Hewett's stood out: 20 contested possessions; 10(!) clearances; 7 tackles. He's been one of our best all year; he's become super reliable and keeps his nerve. Doesn't fumble, marks going back with the flight.
Kennedy 36 possessions (22 contested), 8 clearances, 9 tackles, 6 I50s.
Hannebery ended up with 20 possessions. His kicking and decision-making is still a bit off, it kind of feels like he's re-learning the game. But he is running out games better.
I'm sorry Matt but Hannas has 25% disposal efficiency. Time for a stint in the twosComment

I've repeatedly studied the video of the Buddy 'elbow' to Rance's 'throat' here: http://www.afl.com.au/video/2018-06-...its-rance-high .....and to me it looks like more a forearm to his chin and Rance goes down coughing and spluttering like his thorax has collapsed. He'd actually make a great soccer player.

Reflecting in a late night Bar, tigers were way too good. Slick, fast, accurate, well-positioned, lucky at times but overall, they had all the answers. Felt we were just too short all over the ground. So many struggles to get past half forward when bringing it out. And forward line marking? Take a bow Jack. Not feeling as bleak as some as I felt we were way down but the opposition created that pressure. Tigers are very good imo but we can beat them. Get our structures right with effective options and voil?. As for personnel changes, give us height, marking ability, nouce, decision making, and speed - you're in.

Again, I really hope Michael Christian sees the whole picture......the provocation of Rance's elbow, which came down onto Buddy's throat with some force and judge his action as retaliatory and low impact.....after he see's that contact was not actually with Rance's throat, as much as Alex would like the world to believe he couldn't breathe! ****ing staging repeat offender.Comment

As others have mentioned we lost the game due to our terrible skills. Time and time again we kept kicking it to the opposition. Whether it was coming out of the backline or kicking it into our 50 we just kept turning it over.
Our marking was also off tonight. How many goals did they score from our dropped marks? The only one consistently taking marks for us was McCartin but he was higher up the ground.
The injury to Conca was really bad timing. It stopped our momentum.
Does anyone know when Heeney suffered the concussion? He didn't seem right for the whole game. A shame because we really missed his output.
I really dislike the 10 metre protection zone 50s. It's too big a penalty for something so minor and it cost us a couple of goals.
Is Buddy in trouble for what he did to Rance? At the game I didn't see the incident, I just saw Rance acting like he was dying. He has become really unlikeable with his antics.Comment

Same ole story with the Swans - soon as there is a team that runs all night, the Swans just can't match it with that style of play. And why... the majority of the swans line up are slow and have poor stamina. This is probably due to age with some and others just don't have that in them. If every team played high tempo footy against the swans, the win/loss ratio would be shocking.
Loss of stamina = poor decision making, this is why many swans players were rushing their kicks, and kicking long to get out of trouble, but had the opposite effect as the ball just kept coming back straight away.
Jack, Hanna, McVeigh, Rohan few others always go missing in these type of high tempo games.
The other issue is Longmire, when the Swans aren't on top of play, he looks to be at a total loss in the coaches box what to do next. Not sure if he has to many plan C and D game plans up his sleeve tbh.
Still hope the Swans can go all the way, but i suggest high tempo training needs to be a must and maybe a couple fresh legs to come into the team.Comment

Uncontested possessions 241-189
Marks 109-66
Intercept possessions 85-71
Really really really disappointing that the Swans didn?t try and shorten up their game last night with marks
The stats above are just like looking at Hawthorn vs us
Hawthorn notoriously beat us with uncontested footy and Richmond did the same
We had plenty of opportunities to take easier short passes and marks to win back possessionand momentum but didn?t take the game oninthis way
It puzzles me and I just can?t understand why we dont respect a very good opposition and mirror the game plan"be tough, only when it gets tough"

It turned into a slaughter.
On the positive:
- I'm so glad that I get to watch Josh Kennedy play every week. The man's a freak.
- Tommy McCartin is looking like a future star. Reads the game VERY well
- Luke Parker is as tough as nails. Playing with one arm and one eye and he's still a champ
- We still have some important players to come back (Reid, Melican, Paps)
- I worked out the radio/tv combo so I don't have to listen to the fools on 7/FoxFooty for any Swans game ever again
That's all I've got and I was really struggling to come up with even those!
- Aliir is a one trick pony. It's lose backman or nothing. Too slow to play on leading forwards. Not strong enough to play on marking forwards. Too scared to put his head over the ball robe a tough defender. His kicking is below par. We really need Melican to come back.
- Rohan doesn't get involved in the game. He does brilliant things occasionally and I acknowledge that that is his role but he needs to get more touches. He's being carried by the team.
- Jack is finished and has been so for the last two seasons.
- Hannebery. Don't know what to say, appears to be playing injured which is affecting his entire game.
- Aliir and Rohan should be traded at the end of the year whilst they still have some currency. Jack needs to retire.Comment
