Suns lose Hanley and Schoenfeld in addition to AinsworthComment

I woke up early for this?Comment

Obviously not a high quality game. I’ve only just checked the stats and it seems that Dawson is doing his thing with 18 disposals and 2 goals. Grundy is 2nd leading possession getter with 14 and Rohan is in double figures. Where are these guys playing positionally?Comment

Probably a game that has been under-umpired, in that they seem to be largely ignoring all the in the backs, holding the balls and high contacts. Consequently, much of the game has been a scrappy, rolling melee.
Dawson's 108 fantasy points at half time, is fairly impressive though.Comment

They are each playing pretty much where they feel like it. Rohan seems to be starting across halfback but is running forward a lot. Dawson has clearly been our best. He “almost” took another couple of contested marks in the forward line, at least one of which should have earned him a free for interference in the marking contest.Comment

Amartey and Bell both injured early this half and I think Rohan hasn’t reappeared.Comment

Swans haven’t done the rest an emergency at half time for quite a while. Could indicate that Robinson is in for the seniors.Comment

Amartey back on!Comment

One thing I love about Dawson (and something we could use in the seniors) is that almost every time he has a clear possession, especially a kick, he hits up another swans player. Too often we see our players fluff basic 20 meter kicks etc but he has a great left boot.

And just on that note, AJ is another who is safe with his use of the ball and is having another decent game.

Yes, under umpiring has destroyed it for the forwards. Should have been lots of frees.Probably a game that has been under-umpired, in that they seem to be largely ignoring all the in the backs, holding the balls and high contacts. Consequently, much of the game has been a scrappy, rolling melee.
