Oh and I bet there will be few objectors across the afl world to this win despite the 'druggie' smell around the bombers. They are the love children of course and we, inexplicably, are the baddies. Gob smackingly unfair.

Three quarters of goalless footy is a sign something is broken. We have a
quality full forward receiving no or a best poor service from the midfield.
The bloods spirit is dead .

Longmire's had his time. Some inexplicable decisions recently:

Grundy dropped, then back, then playing forward, then playing back again.
Aliir not picked for a year, then when he's back, plays brilliantly.
Keep playing Hanners although all evidence pointed to him being useless.

Where was Ronke today? Seemed to be in the midfield mostly.

It's not the players, it's the plan.

Probably be a bunch of posts about how many players were missing, umpires shafting us, blah blah . Guys , can we recognise we lack a game plan ? Collingwood are the worst injury struck team in the comp but are playing for their coach and playing a good brand of footy . What are we doing ? At least we used to respond to a dismal performance . Don’t feel like their playing for horse anymore

Cant blame just kids and injuries. The hard truths need to be said.

Jones is a thug and a hack. Shame we re-signed him.

Heeney is only just going. Same with Sinclair.

Buddy looks injured and is more of a liability.

Rampe and Smith are making stupid errors.

                      Papley is adding nothing.

Hurts to say this but Joey is looking slow and ineffective.

Our kicking is poor. Our game plan is poor. Our decision making is poor. Our tackling is poor.

The season is basically over now. We still MAY make finals but won't trouble anyone in them. We must continue to play the likes of Dawson, O'Riordan and even perhaps give a couple more a go like Johnson, Stoddart and Maibaum. If he drops the first two then I will be joining the calls for Horse to go! I have not jumped on that bandwagon as yet.

At this rate they should be begging McVeigh to sign a multi year deal

There is a game plan, its just the wrong for footy in 2018, I don't think a horse can change his spots and its time to plan for the future.

Even if we made the finals we will be smashed like last year.

I think missing this year might be the wake up call and rest that's needed.

Biggest decision to my mind is what to do about the coach and game plan.

Bombers have been erratic but have also beaten Crows, Port, Cats, GWS, WC and Norths.

They play good fast footy .

I actually think our list is not looking too bad. But its going nowhere trying to play a style of footy foreign to many of the youngsters, and not suited to the direction modern footy is going. We need a change of direction on that front and we will be on the right track. There is a seriously good group of cygnets coming through to replace some of the older troopers - but we need to evolve with footy and give up on the defensive football style, which suited a list full of effort and endeavour, but perhaps lacking in skill and quality (the old 'team is greater than the sum of the parts' - of 2005/06 and of course 2012). We have drafted well in recent years and have good quality, skillful footballers coming through. Time to drag the game plan along with it - its like trying to build a v12 car but deciding not to release the handbrake in case someone gets hurt.
