I’m going in to this game with VERY low expectations, hoping we aren’t humiliated!

Pies will be fielding a very inexperienced defence. I wish we had the forwards to exploit that. And can generate plenty of inside 50s.

Just on Twitter. Grundy out, to focus on his mental wellbeing.

Not just Swans related, but I think we have Buddy to thank for admitting to mental health problems publicly a few years ago. I don't remember any player coming out about mental health before that (maybe Nathan Thompson?) while still playing.
Since Buddy there have been quite a few as there is now no judgement passed.

Not too unhappy with those changes - bad news about Reg - hope he is okay and feeling better soon.

Robinson is nothing special but will have a dig, McVeigh will hopefully make a big difference down back. AJ is obvious, and while I'm not supremely confident Jack will show any better form than he has previously, he is an experienced player at the end of the day and we need some older heads.

Seems like Towers papers are well and truly marked now I would think - I thought he'd get a last chance saloon this week.

Does anyone know what happened? He was going ok until the poke in the eye.

Mitch Clark was well before Buddy. Came back to Geelong at start of 2014. Buddy took his break at the end of 2015 I think.

Feel sorry for O'Riordan getting injured. He held his place in last couple of weeks and has developed as a future talent kicking both feet. He will be back I'm sure. He has more promise than Robinson, Foote, Towers who I think will be cut at end of season, just saying.

Good to see AJ back and Dawson retained. Pity about COR, showed a lot of promise, very composed and makes good decisions.

McVeigh and AJ will add stability down back, KJ I'm not sure about maybe the rest has done him good, Robbo battles away.

Pies have a dozen first choice players out, have only beaten one t op 8 side so far, surely we win this?

I thought towers could have developed into the same kind of all rounder we had in LRT, he showed the same kind of clumsy wild enthusiasm. Disappointed he's not being given another shot.

I like Deano as well, but then anyone wearing red and white for the Swans are my favourite players. I don't dislike anyone, but once they leave they are on opposition player only.

Don't think Towers has gone that next step, lacks pace and honestly is too indecisive when kicking. Not enough talent for the future in my mind. Not doing enough in NEAFL to justify being elevated to seniors. Pity

Towers had such a great 2017, it's hard to understand why he's now out of favour.
