I still reckon we should offer him a year....but will admit there is some nostalgia in play here!

He's in Germany ATM visiting the strange soft tissue doctor bloke. You know the one that injects calf blood into people.

Jesie White is playing SANFL next year, ten years after signing with the Crows, see

Instead we kept him for another season, his best with us, then traded him to the Magpies for pick #44,which we used for AA, who we traded to Port for an 2nd rounder, which was used to get . . . .

That’s interesting re Jesse White joining North Adelaide.

After finishing at Collingwood end 2017 he played for Glenelg for two years and won their best & fairest ( and premiership I think) in 2019. He then retired.

So what has he been doing the last three years which has kept him fit and skilled enough to return to top level SANFL football at 34 yo?

“Once a Swan and a Magpies, the 34-year-old will run out for the Roosters next season, returning to the South Australian competition a full three seasons after calling time on his tenure with Glenelg.”

I’ve found some of the answer to my own question above.

Seems Jesse White played seven games for Broadview in the amateur Adelaide Footy League in 2022. No idea what he did in previous two years (and I think amateur football was ceased in 2021 due to Covid).

And with some drama this year. He was suspended for three matches near end of the season for an elbow to the face of an opposing player (who was pinning him to the ground behind play). The third suspended match would have ruled White out of the grand final.

White took it to the Supreme Court on grounds of procedural fairness and won, and the football tribunal then reconvened and accepted the overturn of the suspension.

So Jesse played in the grand final which Broadview duly won. Though he didn’t appear in either the goal scorers or the best players.

They take their football seriously in Adelaide - Supreme Court decision on amateur footy?

So, let me get this straight…you get sacked from the WORST team that football has seen in a decade and THEN you get hired as “Head of Performance” at Essendon?! Yep….sounds about right

Well, I wouldn't really say he was sacked. The Clarkson Family Planning Institute now in charge at North Melbourne just thought
he didn't have the required skill set for player management. Frosty only knew about football and thought pretending to be a
father figure to players was a bit creepy.

Anthony Rocca appointed coach of the Northern Knights. Interviewed on SEN with the go home factor issue raised and said when he was first drafted told the club he didn't want to come up and will leave after 2 years.

Adam Schneider interviewed last week on his draft day experience 20 years ago. Had no internet access and informed by mates he was drafted! Has equal affection for both Saints and Swans, with Paul Kelly his footy hero as a kid.

Is the poster boy for Ludwig's proposal for a Mummy's Boy draft.

BTW does he qualify as a Swans ex-player when his heart was never with the club? There should be separate category for those who who never committed - Rocca, Gaspar, Tom Mitchell .......
