Leo Barry was a star of ”the big dance”, now he’s making a mark in small caps - Success and more interesting stuff | Podfollow
An interesting interview of Leo Barry. Even though it's a finance website, it talks about his transition to the Swans, a bit about Eade and Roos, "that mark", and his transition out of football. It's interesting, and he comes across as a nice guy, but it does offend the socialist in me.Comment

I spotted Martin Matner at Aldinga Beach shopping centre on Friday with his sons. Still looking pretty fit. Thanks for all your great work, MartyComment

Nice Swans' connection with the name: our former spiritual home in Albert Park. Pure coincidence? All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

Perhaps Alfie's arrival will help heal the rift between his parents and grandparents - so sad when families schism.Comment

Had dinner with the ex on Friday night at an Italian restaurant. At the table next to us were two couples including another ex in Jordan Dawson!
Resisted the urge to havachat as they left, but in real life he's a much bigger unit than I imagined him to be.
Both ex's are losses in my life LOLComment

As an old South Melbourne/Port Melbourne tragic, I love seeing Sam Naismith continuing his career at the Borough!Comment

Really worthwhile interview with James Bell: That's Us Podcast | Podcast on Spotify. Bit of language but well worth it to get the less varnished take provided when among mob. Heartbreaking to hear about the racism that contributed to his delisting. The way he tells it, after his crucial miss kicking for goal at the end of the 2021 EF: he copped a lot abuse on social media, some of it overtly racist, and he couldn't get over it, hit the grog, and came back to pre-season out of shape and never recovered.
Some may say that criticising a player for poor performance is not inherently racist. That's true but booing a player isn't inherently racist either - yet it still led to the untimely end of the great Adam Goodes career. Some players (Indigenous players) cop more than their share of flak for poor performance or other controversial activity. All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment
