Here are a couple of links to articles about prospects for the mid-season draft:

My son has watched a number of South Adelaide games this year and expressed surprise he wasn't already on an AFL list. Happy to roll the dice on this guy but be sorry to see my local team lose him.

Guess I can stop looking at footage of Rowell and Anderson now :-(

Crows fans will be ecstatic after yesterdays Carlton thrashing, reckon they've got the number one pick in the bag now, more :-(

Here is a list of the current draft order base on this week ladder.
I have vlookup all the trade from last year for each round so its accurate.
With Carlton on the bottom, our Four Round trade for Newman is looking quite good.
But we need to trade our some players; both for picks and salary cap relief.
There is some good young talent out there, we just have to aggressive in targeting them.
Would love to get Balta and Bolton from the Tigers; they look brilliant against the Hawks with plenty of upside still there.

Article up on the AFL website suggesting Kyle Dunkley will be taken by Carlton with the first pick in next Monday's Mid Season draft. LOLNorf liking Tipungwuti

Looking at this weeks games it seems highly likely we'll have pick four.

Interestingly on Footy Classified last night the entire panel (who generally couldn't agree on the colour of an orange) all agreed that the difference in treatment of the Boyd and Franklin contracts by the AFL was unjust.

I'd be happy with Bell. At the mid-season draft, you're really just looking for someone who will be a good backup and to fill a gap in the list. Probably our biggest gap is in big bodied midfielders, and he'd be good insurance for Kennedy and Parker. He also seems to have a good attitude and would fit in well.

Almost every week Caro brings up the poor treatment of Sydney by the AFL and how there is bad blood between the two. I think it's starting to purculate through the rest of the media now.

                            Gill will be livid.

The name given was Corey Hirst, not Tony.

The Bell mentioned could have been James Bell, a youngster who has come up from the juniors to feature in our NEAFL team. He has things to offer: good pace, decent kick, strong tackle and still maturing. Some people here are expecting he'll get a taste of firsts at some point in the season. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
