I wonder if we are tempted to trade back into the 50s if a player we like is still there.

Still got Mitch O'Neill, Byrnes, Chrigwin, Cassar, Cahill, Hilder and Finlay.

We'll have to see who's left in the rookie draft. Probably a ruck at some point.

i like the Taylor pick. Can't believe people are negative about him. We just don't score enough in the games I go to. Good overhead, goal sense, good kick and agility. Hopefully, he kicks a few goals early, couldn't survive another 19 consecutive points.

          Byrnes gone to the Dogs.

Tigers have bid on Biggie. Saints can match.

Want Club content about our new draftees. Will I have to wait until tomorrow to see KB and Dal gloating and to meet the excited parents of our draftees?

I can't believe we took "Neville Nobody" in Chad Warner when Jay Rantall was still available. And still no talls!

Though I suspect that Gould being picked, might be making Maibaum feel a bit nervous. And I do hope to see Ellem next year. At the very least, he should be part of the overage academy squad.

                Welcome Trev.....interesting first post.

I can see why they took Warner.....as others have alluded to, he's a potential Nick Smith. If that works out to plan, we'll be calling KB a genius.

I’m not sure where all this Nick Smith talk is coming from , from everything I’ve read and seen he’s a contested ball winning small-inside mid. Not a small lock down defender. He’s also apparently quite slow. Not a great trait when your job is to mark speedy small forwards.

Great night for the Lions Academy - they've had 5+ players drafted!

Will we have at least 1 more pick??? Hoping for Chirgwin if we do. A big midfielder who could develop into a gun with a bit of luck!

Ok so we've passed. So how many picks will we use in tomorrow's rookie draft?

Have you seen the stats on Rantall? This guy can tackle, something that would be appreciated at the Bloods. Puts his body on the line every time.

IMHO, as a first time poster, I'm very unimpressed with the selections we've made.

Stephens is good but he's only 69kgs, its going to take 12 months to get the muscle and weight to get him up to AFL standard as a mid.

Gould I'm very happy with, a hard body that's needed down back. We're too soft down there.

Taylor, not needed. We have enough of this type, even with his potential X-factor.

Yes 12 months down the track KB could be a genius and I'll be a buffoon!

I’m pretty happy about Stephens and rapt about Gould. Taylor sounds more speculative and SD obviously has his reasons with Warner.

Let’s check back in 2022 and see how they are all travelling.
