Anyone who thinks tanking is the way to go should be tied to a chair and forced to watch that performance on repeat until they get it into their noggins that tanking is not how we do things around here.

tanking destroys culture. winning against the odds builds it.

look at carlton and melbourne, both still (arguably) recovering from tanking

Wow. Best game for a long time. Skills were up. Effort was great. We took away the strengths of the Weagles. Well done one and all, players and coaching staff.

I also want to mention George Hewitt again. Still flying under the radar, he was huge again today.

              This picture says it all!

(Hope it shows here, technology not a strong point for me.)

That is the first game I have watched for years where I gave us absolutely no chance - not even a sniff.

To win like that - never give up on the Swannies!

Papley, yep, looks like a player who wants to go to Vic at the end of the year. Never seen a more invested player. Really, who dreams up these player movement rumours?

                      Swans Radio votes:

                      Papley 3

                      Franklin 2

                      Lloyd 1
Tough match to work out the votes. While Lloyd was our highest possession winner, I'd probably have Rampe and Hewett ahead of him.

rose ok but if u highlight sinclairs kick across the groung same should be said of rose. I don't understand how Lloyd in best 3 he had 2 many turnovers and his kick offs a are substd.

Earliest I have turned to the ladder predictor in the season also.

Suspect we will miss the 8 - we have a pretty good draw, particularly the immediate future we should win most games. Rounds 18-21 will decide the season. Could go 0-4, hopefully will go at least 2-2.

Did anyone see what happened to Thurlow? I can't be sure, but it looked like he was taken out by Vardy after a kick. Happy to stand corrected. Gee the Eagles were grubs today.

What a fantastic win! We played so well and continued on even with only 1 on the bench. I was worried we were going to tire but we fought it out. I checked and we only had 66 interchanges. No wonder players were cramping...we are going to need the bye.

Loved seeing Buddy back to his best ????. What about that goal after the siren?? The reaction of the coaches in the box as they bent over to follow the kick was priceless!

Papley is like the energizer bunny! He doesn't stop.

The backline was great and had to adjust to losing 3 players.

We finally kicked over 100 points!

It was nice to enjoy a game and not stress out ????.

You are correct. He did come back on but at one point they were checking his jaw. Then he stayed off. The MRO will look at it for sure. Rioli is definitely gone. Should get at least 2 weeks. I think slam/sling tackles should be minimum 4 weeks. Absolutely no mitigating circumstances in this one.
