look at carlton and melbourne, both still (arguably) recovering from tanking
Spot on mate. Search 2003-2004 and 2011 season records and you'd find wins like that.

Well, I haven't given up hope. Our next four are Hawthorn and Gold Coast at home, Essendon at the MCG and then back home to face Carlton. On recent form, all four of those are very winnable. Win all four and we get to 8/8, with six rounds remaining. Which gives us a shot, even if the draw then gets tougher. Of course, if we lose to the mustard on turd, then the new found optimism probably flies out the window.

Yep, bloody hard to simmer it down to three vote-getters.

Loved seeing Buddy back to his best ????. What about that goal after the siren?? The reaction of the coaches in the box as they bent over to follow the kick was priceless!

Papley is like the energizer bunny! He doesn't stop.

The backline was great and had to adjust to losing 3 players.

We finally kicked over 100 points!

It was nice to enjoy a game and not stress out ????.
Yes, first stress free win of the year.

Just brilliant , best footy I’ve seen us play in a while. This is a team missing two starting on ballers too, one of them a co captain. Geez Horse Longmire keeps finding ways to make people look silly !

They really do need to do something about sling tackles. As the competition gets more and more professional/sports science gets more advanced players are getting fitter and stronger; generally the overall improvements in the competition means a stronger/fitter player is coming up against a stronger/fitter player but in spinning tackles the body dynamics just don't line up.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Not sure if anyone else has had a look at our fixture, post bye, but we could square our season at 8 & 8 by round 16 as we play HAW (home), SUNS (home), ESS (away) & CAR (home). After that, apart from GEE (home) and GW$ (away/home!!) we actually have a draw we could do some damage based on today. Stick Jones and JPK back in an we are looking ok!

That was a bludy beautiful afternoon at the footy. Just glorious indeed!

So many great performances but Tom Papley was the man for mine. Just superb. So many other notable performances and great to see Bud getting some good touch.

It's wins like that today which tell me our future has a lot to like about! Great stuff mighty swannies!

Love the line used by the commentators along the lines of "Franklin and his buddies have a day out"

We really took the game on today, built on control of the ball, much better skills and high intensity. When we play 4 quarters, we can match it with the best.

I was very impressed with Ollie Florent's game today. He's got a lot of great moves and feel that he's developing into an elite player. Watch this space.

It's slowly all coming together. Still a lot of work to do, but progress is visible.

I don't get players who do this. With a growing list of players with post career head trauma issues you would think players would have a greater duty of care towards their fellow combatants.
