Gee I think we are going to enjoy watching our team of Cygnets grow up over the next few years. There is the basis for a very fine football team starting to come together.
Yep, it's exciting. Looking forward to us re-signing Dawson. Thought his poise and marking in the fourth helped snuff them out.

Agreed, but give him time. If he can remain injury free for the rest of the season he'll be primed for 2020.

Haven't watched the whole game, had other things going on :-( but so much to like about where we're going and almost as good is where smug Hawks aren't going!

So much upside for our young team, I know I've been on about him since seeing him live in the NEAFL three years ago and he looked way to good for that level, but Dawson is not only a laserboot but he's a great reader of the play and always organising on the ground, skills and footy brain. WTF was that selecting Foote over him in 2017 when Dawson was on fire in the NEAFL, MC hang your heads in shame, tracking on a steep curve up!

Hawks, absolutely delicious that they are a team with numerous fading stars and little coming through, all downhill from here, even the mighty Clarko can't save them, looking like bottom four for a while and that feels so good with their tosser supporters, smug coach, richardhead president etc! Destination club no more!

Great last quarter from Blakey and Dawson. Great signs for the future. Not sure why, but we never play our best football against Hawthorn. But a win is a win!

Yes, he seemed more emotional than players usually do after a home and away loss. Maybe Hawthorn have told him that his time is up?

Told it straight, genuinely disappointed for Buddy. Agreed, feeling his footy mortality. Go well him.

When Dawson roasts it deep into the forward line there is usually a player on the end of it, but he took until the last quarter to do it. Where he needs to improve is moving it on quicker. Blakey gets it and he is off to the races.

Granted Kennedy has been out for a few weeks but there were signs tonight where his football mortality may be looming. Found it hard to break clear, scrappy kicks and some very poor disposal overall. The look on his face after he handballed to Clark who was under full pressure, for the sake of handballing, and got pinged said it all.

A good win by the lads. James Rose had another solid hit out. Sam Reid only 5 possies for the game, not good enough.

I think that the umpiring was helping them for most of the second and third quarters. But since we won, I won't go on about it.

Instead, Parker was great tonight; with plenty of midfield help from Heeney, Hewett and Jones. Although Jones was a bit wasteful. Also a good allround game from Dawson. Sinclair was going great, until his unfortunate concussion. But hey, he seems to have recovered well and he will remember most of his hundredth game. Hopefully, it won't be too long til Buddy plays his three hundredth. Defence was also pretty good tonight, especially Mills.

Hard to disagree with much of that. Scumthorn have invested heavily in their current list and have ignored their future development n the process

The two most notable features of Romaing Brian are the waste of oxygen associated with producing it and the waste of life associated with watching it. Nothing of any interest or insight is ever said by Brian, or his interviewees. The fact this crap is actually broadcast is emblematic of how far up its own rear end the entire footy industry is.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

I had no issue with the mpiring. It's never going to be perfect (as we saw in the 2016 GF). Frankly, I'm satisfied if we don't get completely screwed over given our poor history.

And when he approached Callum Mills, did he call him Callum Ward?

The whole Roaming Brian thing is based on the misconception that Taylor is witty. He's got the sense of humour of a 15 year old schoolboy.
