Respectfully disagree. The MRP are accountable for their decisions but there shouldn’t be “repercussions” per se, at least not as judged by the public. If the AFL believe that the MRP have erred, they can dismiss the MRP - just as the MRP are the judiciary for the players, so to are the AFL the judiciary for the MRP.

I’ve read it. As it transpired. All it told me that if he got a week this time, he should have got at least a week the first time.

while I can see your point, why on earth would any RWO member have wanted BBBH in 2005 or Dunks in 1996 to have been rubbed out?

We can be far more objective when it isn’t our players or going to compromise our team.

I've never seen a player suspended for massaging an opponents face with his forearm.

If GWS take it to court/sport appeals tribunal, wherever......they will win and he will play.
It might not just be a 2 week “accumulation”. He was partly pardoned due to his “remorse” during the hearing. Immediately after, when asked if he would change his game style, the “remorseful” grub answers “we’ll see”. If that didn’t demonstrate his lack of regret, Greene gives the MRP the metaphorical finger the very next week by essentially repeating the action that he was so remorseful for just a week earlier.

18 tribunal citations at just 25 years of age. The guy has issues. He’s also lucky that he’s playing at a time where fines are more prevalent, as many of those fines might have previously been weeks

It does the AFL no favours that 2 ex Collingwood players were on the tribunal .

For a Admin so concerned about the optics, surely they could have found someone else

Massive distraction for the GIANTS leading into a PF.
Whatever the outcome (on appeal), they are cooked mentally and emotionally and the Pies will win this now by 6 - 10 goals and the game will be a fizzer.
            T. Greene has gifted them this game.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

A lesser farce. A corrective farce.

It's definitely a farce. They got it wrong first time and now have tried to right the wrong by suspending him for what appears to be a lesser offence. But that's just the AFL for you. They are reactive and just make it up as they go along. First with Demetriou and now with that even bigger joke of an administrator, Gil.
Having said that, I'm happy Toby got suspended. He carries on like a school yard bully. It's about time justice has finally caught up with him. And yes, in this instance I don't care that he has been hard done by - he deserves it.

Don't need or want to, his actions on the footy field and actions off field (google if you are unaware of these) tell you what kind of person he is.

As for the "evidence of Neale in trying to help him, what a joke, contact with the nose, Greene's claw was no where near Neale's nose. Greene's evidence of trying to keep the ball in, you do that with fingers wide spread not held tight in a claw.

Has finally got what he deserves, previous 16 penalties have been far too soft

Football has been an affliction for over 60 years and shows no sign of abating.

Things Toby "should" have done to avoid suspension (based on precedents)

                                1) Play for a big Melbourne club.

                                2) Forearm to the head (Ablett - no suspension)

                                3) Do a proper Eye gouge, none of this slip of the hand stuff (Rance - no suspension)

                                4) Just knock the bloke out (Cochin - no suspension)
