Re Daniher, now could be a good time to get him. 2 year contract plus option for 3 years depending on performance. First 2 years on about 500k a year, fits in with Buddy's last 2 years. If he stays on the park and plays well, 3 year contract triggered with a chunk of what use to be Buddy's.

Yes. This would be a great outcome. McDonald could be the tough one to get, he's been pumped up so much by the draft gurus.

And what is Ladhmas worth? That's are hard one. It's really what PA want for him. Who can say? And is he on the trade table? This will have to wait with PA looking to go deep into finals.

All accounts he has a 4 year deal on the table from Essendon . If he’s to move it will be minimum 4 years you would think

If the Injectors are offering 4 years then they must be confident in his groin.

Opportunities like this year rarely arise so just take pick 3, Campbell and Gulden this year and accept a likely points deficit in 2021. Adding three top picks in one go, yes please.

Worse that can happen in 2021 is we slip a few places in the draft with our second pick, or slip less places with our first if Gulden attracts a first round bid which I don't think he will.

Some very good posts in the last few pages.

Agree. Highly unlikely but it is worth dreaming.

I thought that was a clever move by the Bombers because it puts a high price on his head as an RFA. Although he could still walk.

I’m not convinced they did it for JDs benefit or because they have faith in his groins. Think they probably think he’s going to ask to leave.

Yes, it's an attempt to get us to pay overs....Dedoro is not stupid, just an a-hole.

I'll note the following from the article: "With Gold Coast's concession (now with Geelong) and a host of first-round compensations predicted, this year's second round could start around pick No.24-25."

This supports what I said earlier regarding the first round having "20 picks or more". This is significant, because it would be more likely that a bid on Gulden would occur in the first round.

I wonder at what point, if a bid comes for either Campbell or Gulden, will the club decide to not match? I certainly hope we get them both, but surely the club has put a value on each of them, and if a bid comes earlier for either, we may let one of them go?

There’s certainly a few on that list that could ( potentially ) help accelerate our return to finals and not cost us too much.

Preuss, Brodie , Witherden are thee I wouldn’t mind us taking.

Adds depth to our midfield , Ruck and a bit of polish off halfback.

We'll know more if the club is trading for additional draft picks. We're a few hundred points short of what we need to match Campbell at 10, Gulden at 25.

If Elijah Holland has not recovered well and Riley Thilthorpe, Logan McDonald and Jamar are already gone I guess the question would be
Best player vs Best role filler on our team vs what we should take considering Campbell and Gulden are going to definitely come later on

If Tom McCartin is a fixed on the back then we can ignore Denver Grainger Barras or Nicolas Cox. But if Tom is going to be A swingman We could choose either of them. Both look good.
If Tom in the back then choose a midfielder - but probably a bit different skills than Campbell.

If we back our list, next year is a golden year and this year we have our academy picks, perhaps they should swap our first round this year with a pick or picks next year. This might also make sense if they trade in a ruck like Pruess.
