Changes for Rd. 4 vs Western Bulldogs

I agree that it's great to have Naismith back. I'm slightly surprised at the number of changes. I expected a more conservative approach.
I wonder if McLean will be played down back? We could use an extra tall down there. If so, I presume that means Brand is not ready to go yet. If not, is McInerney going to be played out of the backline? Or else, who will be the 7th defender (assuming Dawson, and not Florent, is the 6th)?All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

I don’t see it as three rucks. It is two tall forwards plus Naismith. Longmire mentioned that McLean was brought in last week to free up Heeney from being a key forward. Sinclair and McLean to take the tall defenders, crash packs, and try to take the occasional contested mark. Ronke, Paps, Taylor to add pressure when the ball hits the ground. Heeney to do as he pleases. Unfortunately, with Buddy, Reid, and now McCartin all injured we are down to our 4th & 5th choice key tall forward.Comment

Don't mind the changes, McCartin, Gray & COR weren't doing much replaced by Naismith, Ronke & McInerney who collectively should do more. Should be playing to winning rucks as well now you'd reckon.
Maclean is not a ruck, he's a CHF and now won't need to ruck except for an occasional chop out deep forward.
I like the message, perform or you're out.Comment

Yes so do I. Good message to send. There are plenty in the wings that want a game.Comment
