They are both decent players (when fit) but were on big money and basically surplus to requirements at GWS. They can only fit inIf it wasnt for his knee's patton could have been a gun. Great mark, great kick. Poor forward pressure, but that could be worked on.
Scully is all reputation, and its all reputation based on being a very early draft pick (was it #1?), and been a good runner. Neither of which makes you a good AFL player.
Looks good in a good side, but wont win you a match. But, again, Hawthorn didnt pay much for him.
Him. combined with all the other trades that havent pulled off a great player, means you can end up with a list of list-cloggers.
so many pricey (which usually means very good) players and they have a few. If our new crop of young players all turn into guns we
are going to run into salary cap issues too in four or five years. In some ways it's a good problem to have. "Too many" good players.Comment

Incidentally, I'm not sure that we're agreeing with each other, other than I agreed with your uncontroversial opinion that Hawthorn's recruiting strategy doesn't seem to be working out too well for them.All opinions are not equal.
