Why not just type in by position in the traditional way? It will take you like 30 seconds.

        no, still not working

I will have to wait until I see the Rd 1 team and commiserate or congratulate myself
We will be hard to beat if we get to name 43 players in our line-up each week. However, I'm not sure players will feel much pressure to compete for spots.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

I'm assuming that you've made some sort of depth chart, but when you tried to post it, it got compressed in a strange way? When I've had problems with charts doing something like that, I worked around it, by taking a screen shot of the chart and then posted the screen shot as a picture.

Not a surprise to some but Jake Lloyd thinks he's better at the shorter kicks because he doesn't have an extremely long kick. I wonder whether the wolfie will take Jake's word for it, or argue the toss?

It's an evincive article, in that Dean Cox selected the 4 players.

The important comments were about Ling and Wicks, I thought.

It was foreshadowed last year that Ling was being trained up for a lock down small defender role. But with Cunningham, Fox and O'Riordan already playing that role, Ling will have trouble dislodging anyone from the backline. He could be a 7th defender with Cunningham taking some stints in the midfield. Braeden Campbell, a player with very similar attributes, has also been slated for backline duties by Longmire. It's good to hear that Ling is entering the season healthy and in good form for the first time in his 4 years at the club.

Wicks is developing into the player that we thought Ronke would be. The question is whether we will play a defensive forward, given the depth we have at small forward. Ben Ronke is a very determined player and will give it his best if fit, and his best game is pretty good. Bell, Squizzy, Campbell, Gulden, Ling and McInerney will all be vying for spots as outside players starting from either end of the ground.

It's indicative of the depth of young talent the Swans have coming into this season.

McInerney is not vying for a spot. If fully fit he is straight in.

Though neither is Blakey and yet he was included in Cox's remarks. Odd.

McInerney is in my best 22, but given that he is unlikely to play round 1, he could find himself in a fight to win his spot back. His replacement, whoever it is, won't be handing over the spot on a silver platter.

I was pleased to see Wicks and Ling profiled. They both face big fights to make the team regularly and maintain their spots on our list so its great see they both had impressive pre-seasons. Competition for spots is always critical in building success.

Yes, as a reserves watcher, I always liked Wicks. I was consistently impressed that he nearly always topped the tackle count. He could also show the occasional bit of flair. And I'm pleased that Cox reckons he's improved his attacking skills and his tank.

Also liked Ling, but that was more from glimpses, rather than a body of work. Although I didn't have him down as the next Nick Smith, more of a pacy and elusive wingman. Though of course, if he shows some dash out of defence, there's no reason why he can't be shifted to midfield.

And Stephens is the youngster, whose development I'm most looking forward to seeing. Skilful user of the ball, reportedly an excellent attitude, and elite endurance. Since he's still eligible for the rising star, I occasionally think that he might be a good bet, but then I remember that Rowell is still eligible.
