Expectations for 2021 season

In my opinion our chance of making the 8 sits with Franklin playing at least 12 games. He is/was a freak player with massive on field presence that can turn a game - do we remember what he did to a great West Coast side in the first round a couple of years ago?

Either that or Heeney finally turning it on.... the kids are good, really good, but we need the leaders to step up.

A fair effort: AFL 2021 Season Preview: Sydney Swans (theinnersanctum.com.au). More accurate and up to date than most (although got Dawson's first name wrong). Somehow managed to get the three debutants (accurately predicted, apparently before the announcement) plus Hewett, Hayward, Wicks and Warner all in the same team. Is achieved at expense of Stephens, McInerney and by omitting Melican. Not impossible, especially with a wet and slippery deck. I'd be happy with that 22. Rewards form. Although I'd like to see McInerney and Stephens return soon.

I think that we need to persevere with Melican for team balance. Omitting him for Warner I think leaves us one down in back half rotations, given too that Jacob [sic] Dawson and Hary [sic] Cunningham feel to me more like wings than half-backs. But really, this is a nice position to be in. And if/when Stephens and McInerney are fit, the problems get even larger. And I've come around to Sinclair in for Reid.

For once i find myself agreeing with your negativity. Seeing that clip from the 2014 GF did give me a tweak of sadness. Distracted me from the video for about a minute. But if your blood wasnt pumping by the end of it then you’re not human!!
