I wonder if we've asked for Hayes and it's a way of trying to pushing his value up.Comment

Maybe even Corey Warner. If he was still on the board when the Swans have a pick, they would probably consider it.
More advanced than Chad at the same age according to the midfield coach who has worked with both of them.
I think having both brothers would stifle the go home factor.Comment

Are other big money players back-ended on the anticipation that Buddy's wage goes down?Comment

Probably. Juggling the books. If the club has been smart about it, then it wont end up in a mess like Collingwood last year.Comment

Well, the little worm better convince them to pay us properly if he wants to get where he wants.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Tom Morris had this to say about Port putting Ladhams on the table
Tom Morris' mega trade update on the key forward landscape, Riccardi, Ladhams, Talia and more
“I think it’s a nice tactic from Port Adelaide to show Sydney and Jordan Dawson that they can get a trade done with a player involved as well … they can then get Dawson to the club without giving up too much in terms of draft picks.”
Hhmmmmm
Me thinks Tom is a bit of a dumbo.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I totally appreciate the concepts of loyalty, mateship, rewarding the club which helped developing your skills et al.
But I also feel the player has a date limited product with his skill.
Is it fair to say he should obtain the maximum benefit from marketing that skill?
It's ok for the rest of us. More money, a location we might prefer, family preferences all play a part.
And it always gnaws at me that they are always just one bump away from a career ending incident.
Shouldnt they be allowed to move on without vitriol?
I put this out more for your thoughts than as a 100% committed opinion.Comment

Pick 23/25 this year and future second rounder like pick 29 would equal 1409 points which equals pick 10. Alternatively swapping 4/6, 23/25 for 12/14 equals 1346 points or pick 11 near enough. Maybe also exchange our pick 67 for their 59. Pick 59 should improve after Pies uses 4 picks for Daicos and Dogs ?? picks on Darcy.Comment

I am always torn when players moving by their own choice are criticised by our supporters.

The Crows would do well to get a player who's better than most top 10 picks going around for only a couple of 2nd rounders.
There are always good players to be had in the 20s, so if we can get 2 of them, I'm okay with that. Nothing will make up for the loss of Dawson, but that ship has sailed already.Comment

Poor ol' Tom. Tom, who's wrong about which Port ruckman we were after last year, as it was Hayes, reports Ladhams will potentially be part of the Dawson deal, just a couple of hours before Dawson announces he's wanting to go to Adelaide. And then, lo and behold, another hour later, Tom reports we have re-signed Sinclair.
Me thinks Tom is a bit of a dumbo.Comment
