Bone bruising ain't a terrific injury. I love RB, but would be happy to see him sit out a week to let it settle.

We're a young side that's going to have to manage players over the course of the year to avoid fatigue, so no harm in doing so when someone has a proper injury anyway.

I'm hoping Stephens in for Rowbottom (just to make sure that he doesn't exacerbate a painful injury), Hewitt retained as tag and/or across HB, where he was really good last week.

I feel for James Rowbottom if true he will miss the Crows match. Integral part of our young group and deserves to celebrate another victory with the rest of them, especially after his great game last week!! Never like to see anyone injured but particularly stings when its straight after first game of the season and its someone who was key in getting the win!! Hopefully its just precautionary and he will miss just the week!

Although one door closing opens another door for we hope one of Jmac or Dylan! Two cogs in our future midfield. Have missed watching them over the preseason. This is their big chance to make an impact and shore up a place in the team!!

Feeling confident but not cocky!! We cant take Adelaide lightly! GO the Swans!!

I don’t see any news of Rowbottom being ruled out yet. I think we’re fine without him against Adelaide, even if we’re better with him, but it seems like they’ll wait until last minute to decide.

Yes I remember Blakey being called to play on and straight away I thought of Buddy. I hope neither has a shot at goal after the siren!

The swans training photo gallery has McLean in a green singlet, so as suspected it looks like he will be the unlucky one to make way for Buddy.

I thought “singlet theory” had been debunked as having no factual basis along with Mormonism and Astrology

I think there might be some value in it as a signal.

Something else that is definitely a signal is players wearing a fluoro cap - as both Florent and Campbell are in some of those shots. That's a signal that they are a bit sore somewhere and shouldn't be tackled or otherwise physically engaged.

If Kennedy and Parker both play on Saturday, it will be the 200th time they have played together in the same side.

How come the Saturday and Sunday teams are not announced on Thursday at 6.25pm anymore?

I think both Stephen’s and McInerney will both be in the team soon. They are both brilliant athletes whose run, carry and kicking skills are imperative to the Swans new game plan.

Wicks may have been on fire (Dwayne Russel) against Brisbane but unless he keeps playing brilliantly he will make way soon. Florent can be moved forward to play Wicks’s role and Florent gives another midfield rotation.

I said in a previous post that the new Swans Football style resembles that of the Hawks 2013-2015 Dynasty. Our brilliant young flankers types Blakey, Florent, McInerney, Stephens, Guldon and Campbell have the potential to be more damaging in both attack and defence than the flankers of the Hawks 2013-2015 Dynasty.

Dont reckon theres a more overrated swans player than Blakey. At least RB is competitive. Blakey ball watches , ineffective and lazy when called on to tackle or pressure. Worried about him if im being honest.

Agreed. It seems teams are now announced much later than in the past.

Change for this year is that all teams are only announced on the day before their game.
