Swans chat Logan , Braeden and Errol

One thing I have really noticed is how close these three seem to be . It really comes across in their interviews . To be expected with Braeden and Errol but seems like Logan is enjoying his early days at the swans

They freed a lot of people, but the good it seems they die young

Sorry the title of this thread makes me think of the wonderful Marvin Gaye song

In his interview on AFL360 on Tuesday (as the RS nominee), Errol mentioned that he's known - and been friends with - Logan for several years. I guess all the top prospects spend time together in various academies, and play with/against each other in matches like the All-Stars game and the U17 NZ game.

Yes they all seem very close. In fact, it seems that the team bonds at the Swans amongst all of the young guys seem very strong. This should help a lot in retaining this talent going forward as there will be plenty of potential suitors for each of them.

I loved Logan saying, of Errol, in his post match interview last week, "he's the best player I've ever seen!" The warmth and generosity of the overstatement is really endearing.

Agreed and I also noted this was genuine that they understand that they are the future!

Love it! Wonder what he'll think about the bloke he lines up with this week.

This is great for the future. The likiehood of them wanting to be traded over the coming years is greatly reduced if you happy and content at a football club.

Can I change this for the general love for each player in the club . The hugs for buddy pre game was noticeable but the general hugging of players revving each other up before the game is something I’ve never seen before . Hickey was centre of it all and it seemed to be the young ones as well as the seasoned veterans leading it . Looks like a super tight knit group to me . Covid might have been a blessing in disguise for this group

I know it's premature to be making this observation as this trio have only played two games a piece, but they look like they've played 50. I rate how involved they are during play and their confidence, internally and also from their teammates. Horse commented on their ability to train hard from the outset. We've got some gems coming in and on this year. Long may they play together in the red and white!

May they be the modern equivalent of Jude Bolton, Adam Goodes and Ryan O'Keefe - these three played so many games together including two premierships.

The AFL "Round So Far" had this interesting chart:

Goals from forwards in first two career games:

                              Jack Riewoldt: 0 (668 career)
                              Josh Kennedy: 2 (647)
                              Tom Hawkins: 7 (605)
                              Jeremy Cameron: 4 (405)
                              Tom Lynch: 0 (350)
                              Logan McDonald: 5 (5)
