It was only 2 weeks ago that everyone in the football fraternity was worried about Richmonds non-injuries how quickly the wheel turns.

Hi. There is only 1 reason due to ONE person's posts.,you all know who, that people are debating about R B. Every one here KNOWS that he is an exciting young player that has been best 22 for a while now. Just ignore the continuing comments. you won't change that person's posts so don't bother trying.

What sort of message does that send to the squad when a kid who has played under 30 games gets to just claim a spot in a team that just flogged the reigning premiers without having earned it??? Our depth is good atm we shouldnt have to accept middle of the road performers. & spare a thought for Stephens who has worked his butt off in the ressies to be recognised and was made a travelling emergency yesterday but will have to sit and watch RB have shot gun on a spot in the 22 just because hes a favourite. Its BS and it could cost us form against the bombers

Extended highlights of yesterday's game for those without Fox and sick of watching the standard 7 minute highlight package. This one's over 14 minutes.

Interesting that McInerney had the lowest TOG for us again this week so I assume he is still working up to full fitness. It would be really awesome to get the full tracker stats for every player to further add to this.

I noticed that there were full replays broken down by quarters on the AFL website.

Try this link for one of the Swans quarters and see the side panel for others.

With the introduction of the statue rule was the east-west rule abandoned (officially or unofficially)?

It has seemed to me in matches I’ve watched that the player on the mark is being allowed to stand on an angle in line with goals, as used to be the norm.

                  McLean for Buddy.

Stephens is tough to miss out, but is probably waiting on an injury to get back in.

Really keen to see Ling get a good crack at it soon.
I agree I think McInerney might be the one to miss if Rowbottom is ready to come back. I noticed in the last quarter he was struggling to run. He had an interrupted pre season so a break will do him good.

I think so Meg. You are only allowed to stand now so there is no need for east-west.

By the way after 3 rounds I'm over hearing the umpire yell "Stand"!

I thought east west was completely banned but a small amount of movement back from the mark (south) was allowed

Fantastic win yesterday. Best in ages. The first half in particular. Just wonderful. I'm still a bit delirious.

Everyone was terrific but a couple of specific comments:

                        * As others have pointed out, Hickey was terrific. At quarter time he was best on ground. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it into the coaches votes. While Nathan Buckley pointed out that you can set up to negate a dominant ruck, Hickey showed that having a dominant ruck can still be a great advantage. Plus he offered so much around the ground, back as well as forward. He worked hard and was smart and knew where to run.

                        * As nobody has yet highlighted (I don't think), that was Blakey's best game in a while. I thought he offered a lot and now I would rather drop JMac than him for Rowbottom if RB is ready to return. used his pace, his height, his good kicking skills and worked hard. He was also backing his mates up.
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

Agree. A friend tells me that’s what he yells at his dog when he wants Fifi to stop and ... well ....stand.

There was discussion on here pre game about the incorrect spelling of our player's names. Well I'm reading the Mark Robinson article in today's Herald Sun and one of his Likes of the round was George Hewett. He incorrectly spells his name as Hewitt 3 times! That really is unacceptable.

                                Well it is Robbo.

He was probably still delirious after watching the Bombers win.
