Yeah, the lack of holding the ball decisions is doing my head in. It seems these days, if you tackle a player who's had prior and they don't a legal disposal away, then it's just as likely to be a penalty for too high, in the back, slinging in the tackle or holding on too long, as it is for holding the ball.

That being said, it was a heartening comeback. Stephens was very good in that quarter, along with Cunningham, Kennedy, Rowbottom and Mills.

Melican has done well so far for mine. And Stephens contributing well - he is a nice kick of the footy.

Would be in front but for Kennedy's turnovers. The footy must be a hot potato for Harry Cunningham. Close in it looks too tough for him.

I agree - Melican playing his best game for 2 years and Stephens needs to be perserved with.

Blakey was probably an 8/10 in the reserves in my opinion.

It would be nice if we could get a few more umpires from outside of Victoria, as well.

Have to agree....utter incompetence. Getting worse every year....but I think we can add a level of bias too.

Why don't we play Hayward in a lock down role on Stewart. So much rebound comes through him. It's not like Hayward is a big offensive threat.

How dumb was Rowbottom. Takes a mark, doesn't move it on, then telegraphs a crap kick, get cut off, turnover, goal. Did he get dragged?

Umpires seem to be able to note our incorrect disposals ok

McLean may not be a great player but he provides a presence and keeps opposition defenders honest.

Errol should have hand balled there.

Gulden was selfish then and it cost us an important goal.
