Razor Ray my be a tad idiosyncratic and didactic, but he's probably the least anti Swans of the senior umpiring panel.

[QUOTE=caj23;820526]The premise that there's no difference to the teams chanced with Bell or Taylor as the 22nd player is ridiculous.

Even if you were to ignore the eye test (any average joe blow can see that Taylor is clearly the superior player), the numbers don't lie.
Bell averages 7.9 possessions per game (yes I know he has been activated sub), 0.4 goals, and 3.3 tackles
Taylor averages 17.2 possesions, 0.8 goals and 2 tackles

Could this make a difference tonight? You bet it could.

The old chestnut that Horse and the MC know more than we do will come out, but they're the same people who recently extended Naismith until the end of 2022 without him even getting on the park this year

See you're poised to sink the boots in tonight

Off course Swans supports should. He made the Swans glamorous in a Rugby League market. I wish I could have been born a lot earlier and indulged myself in the 80s. Helicopters, Swanettes, Bob Prichard, Warwick Capper and a packed SCG.

A great era, perfectly befitting of the 80s. Loved it!

          You're not alone.

I feel like the tennis player serving for the match who starts nursing the ball past the baseline.

Secondly - we have no idea on the Naismith situation, or the contract he was on. I don't think that's a fair comment at all.
Predictably Bell having no impact whatsoever

Not that either was impressive, but who came out on top: Taylor with a meagre 6 possessions in a half of football or Bell with a mediocre 14 for a full game? We probably got a bit more from Bell with his tackling, but I think this is one occasion where the 22nd (and 23rd) player made no real difference in the end.
