Bell last played in Round 20 against Essendon. Stats: 1 kick, 3 handpasses, 1 mark, 1 tackle. Worst rated Swans player on the day.
It has to be a role thing Nico. James is picked to apply pressure pure and simple, as this has been his major contribution. As much as he improved during a few games, Campbell would be my preference but if he is given a tagging, negating role then I can understand the MC’s thinking. Hoping he has a good game!

Bell was brought in because of the pressure he applies. And it's working already.

Since he was named in the side, RWO is really feeling the pressure. Some are even having anxiety attacks. Imagine what he will do to the Giants.

Sounds like Heeney will play more midfield with Papley playing in centre bounces intermittently. With Bell in the team and Heeney having to move to midfield, The forward structure is going to be absolutely gone for the game. Unless we dominate in the middle which I doubt, we would find it difficult to score. I am hoping I am proven wrong.
I think Dawson will be also under tremendous pressure in the game. Hopefully Florent picks up some slack and puts his best performance on the park.
We have done well with our plan A all year we will have to have a good plan B to win this one.

Really feel that if we can sneak past this one, we can do some serious September damage.

It’s rare that a finals side has two gun midfielders possibly returning for the 2nd finals game.

Despite Mills and Kennedy being out, I sense there is a feeling that where going to be ok
              because Chad is back.

Bit of pressure on the Swans Instagram post too. So many anti Bell comments that they had to turn off comments and delete them all.

Makes me sad when they have to do that. I get that people don't rate Bell (no issue with that), but on those more 'public facing' sorts of pages, you would hope for a bit of restraint. I can't imagine what it is like being a player and seeing some of the stuff people are willing to post. After all, he will still be part of the 22 that will do everything they can to win tomorrow.

Rather unlucky the year we return to the finals the AFL decides to remove the pre-finals bye when we really needed it!!!! Alternatively so fortunate for the Dogs in 2016 when the AFL first decided introduced the pre-finals bye, it enabled a lot of their injured stars to recover & play in the EF against WC after finishing 7th. No reminder what happened thereafter!!!!

I think we play best when our backs are to the wall. It will be an opportunity for others to stand up.

I reckon it’s a 50/50 whether we win or lose.

Hopefully Horse will again whip the team into that famous pre-game frenzy (against GWS) when at last minute we lost Mills,Cunningham & co due to covid exposure site. Went on to record convincing win after slow start. Think that was GWS last loss?
