You reap what you sow; Melican has been very, very ordinary. Absolute liability. Hogan is running him ragged and Melican is way off him. Florent; again turns it over by trying to beat his opponent, this way, that way, holding the ball. Will he ever learn. His kicking has been horrible.

Our forward positing off the contest has been poor. They have taken it from our forward line too easily. They have gone coast to coast twice from defence for goals.

Don't know if its perceived pressure or lack of finals experience. that said Mccartin looks composed.

Easy to see why they were reluctant to pick Warner....pity mills or JPK couldn't get up for this game.

So, we’re not out of this if we tidy up decision making.

Buddy needs some help up forward and part of the problem is McLean is doing well, but up between the wings and f50. Needs Hayward or Heeney to get dangerous down there.

              Parker, Dawson, McCartin. Very good.

Need Lloyd and JMac to get even busier out of defence and on overlap and need Florent and Chad to do a bit more in the middle. And is it just me or is Hickey a little subdued so far?

Chad is by far our worst player today. Why did we bring him in and leave out Fox? We are missing the extra in defence, while Warner is way off the pace of the game.

I think we're going just as good as them around the ground, if not better, but god what is our forward 50 entry??? Had Longmire really told them to bomb it high and long with Sam Taylor and Nick Haynes there?? Shocking coaching
Over reach....you don't know if that is true.

Well, the good news is that last time we played, we outscored them in the second half, 9 goals to two. The bad news is, the person who really cut them up then, was Blakey.
Still, only 4 goals to make up.

May I suggest shocking kicking on our part.

By the way Bell has had 1 kick and 3 tackles. Doesn't like being first to the footy in a contest.

One half to go. Let's see what our Cygnets are made of. Come on Swans.

We are going to need a massive 3rd quarter from someone (Heeney, Parker, Hickey even) in the middle to take the game by the scruff of the neck and take charge. The accountability around stoppages has been non-existant so far.

The bombing is all panic. Trying to score from every entry - but the opposite happens. At least bring it to ground. Bing back the grubber kick!

Our best passages today every time have not involved bombing it in. I guess its percieved/actual pressure leading to rushed decision making. Very frustrating and killing our chances at the moment.

They are bombing it into the 50 because they don't want to get hit. That's my theory. The Giants do this all the time. They are a very 'physical ' team. the Swans fold under the pressure, they get hurt and tired and then they make bad decisions wanting to get rid of the ball before being hit again. It's just the physical pressure that gets to us. Particularly with young players- A player like Kennedy or Parker is not affected that much, but younger players without strong bodies feel it more- this is just my theory.
