Mark26 mentioned Zurhaar. I’m a big fan. Hard as nails. Put him in a good side and he could be a star.

I don’t think wild, unsubstantiated speculation is helpful or healthy but that’s just my view on the silly season (and it’s too early for that too!)Comment

I like both players, but Zurhaar would be my preference. I think we could use another medium forward and love Zurhaar's physicality. He would probably come at a cheaper price than Taranto
I'm not looking to be too active in the trade market, but this one is the most appealing and fits a need.Comment

I’ve loved him for a while and the other night reminded me why, but I hadn’t realised he was out of contract.
So, let’s go get Liam Baker. Can play small at either end of the ground - think a massive upgrade on Wicks forward, or the small defender we desperately need. A total hard nosed rat, unflinching, team first and you’d love to coach him or play alongside him.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Logan McDonald must be thanking his lucky stars right now that North had overlooked him in the 2020 Draft by selecting midfielder Will Philips with pick 3. Hope the current turmoil at North has instilled a further appreciation where he's at and hopefully commit long term with us.Comment

I didn't understand at the time why we took Stephens ahead of Serong and Young in the 2019 draft and I still don't. I know Beatson said we were after a hybrid midfielder but still. Looks like being another one of those drafts where our best pick was a later one. Strange how the Club does so well with later picks but often bombs with first rounders that aren't academy products. I am still hoping that Stephens proves me wrong but not optimistic. Worried that the way he is going that his trade value is only declining.Comment

Stephens had a reputation of being a good kick, and he looked okay at first. I don't know what's happened that has made his kicking turn so awful. In the VFL game today he did have to kick a lot on his right side. We were under a lot of pressure most of the game and very few players were presenting to the kickers, which of course resulted in a lot of turnovers. I don't think Stephens would have any trade value at this time. Matt Ling would be a better option.
On another note Gould looks so composed except for one late Clanger . He is taking his game to another level and I just wonder if his leg speed is the only thing holding him back from getting a senior game . He’s putting a consistent block of football together atm
