Nice that McLean is kicking straight again. Three goals in the first 20 minutes is handy.

Excellent performance from our boys in that first half. They've played a game nicely balanced between pressure and ball use in what looks to be slippery conditions.

Webster looks very comfortable at this level, and BOC has played maybe his best half of VFL footy yet.

The pressure on the ball carrier, led by players such as Ronke, Wicks and Bell, seemed to wear Essendon in that quarter. They never really looked like scoring, with Gould, Melican and O'Connor being right on top in defence. Also in the back half, Cunningham was getting leather poisoning in the first quarter, while Webster doesn't look out of place.

In the forward line, McLean could be in for a big day, with four goals at the half. Morrison has been handy. While on the outside, Warner and Taylor have been getting busy.

Should power away to a large win.

Webster is probably our best prospect, from the academy players whose draft year is this year. He's played well all season and has earned a spot in the Allies side, where he's also done well. Indhi Kirk is perhaps another chance from that cohort? Although, rookie list would be more likely for both.

Not able to watch the stream. Just checked the stats. Did amartey get pulled from the game as a backup for the seniors, injure himself or is just having a bad game?

Across half back. Generally picking up possessions after Melican, O'Connor and especially Gould, swatted away the Essendon attacks. Although he did take a fair few marks himself.
