Gus looks poised to force his way into the Seniors soon. Roberts is intriguing me. He played well earlier in the season and managed a senior game. His performance was off the pace and he was quickly omitted. Since returning to the Reserves, his performances appear to have been pretty average. A big off-season ahead of him by the looks of it!
No problem with that . Only a kid , bit of adjusting to do after seeing what its like at the top . Gus will be in the 1s before the year is out , mark my words . Could win the rising star next year if he gets enough midfield time . Tough, clean , consistent . Hes a ripper
Too much guile and experience in a very strong Southport team for our young squad. Sheldrick was terrific, as was Gould, although his disposal was occasionally awry. Sinclair completely pantsed by Crossley.
You lot are worse than radio commentators. I come on here to get everything Swans yet can't get a bloody score. We don't all have spare time to watch the VFL. Lift your game.

Agree here with your comments about Roberts. It's a little disappointing as I really felt he could become a genuine steal (he still could be) as he was very good in the VFL to start the year. Since that rough AFL debut and return to the VFL his numbers haven't appeared to be as strong (I haven't watched all the games).
I hope it's just a little dip in form by a young player and he can bounce back next year as he looks all class when he is on his game!

Warner's first game was a shocker as was McInerney's. Turned out ok.

Very good point. From memory Warner, like most of our debutantes, was played out of position as a small forward or half forward where he's clearly a midfielder. I think Roberts is the same where his best position is inside midfielder so hopefully he'll get his chance going forward too.

Errol, Juzzy & Gus are my faves of the young brigade. They're all absolute rippers, especially Errol. I could see Errol joining the club's leadership group as soon as next year.
And we have so many more talented players besides! I can't remember a time we have had so many top 10 ND picks on our list.
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)
