Well, he looks like what Mumford probably looks like now that he's retired, and can devote more time to eating and less time to exercising.

About right. I think most would pick Sheldrick as our best. McDonald took plenty of good marks, often leading out a long way. Kennedy possibly needed the run. Gould was strong in defence, but missed more targets than usual.

Wicks and Ronke had good patches. Rankin was pretty good. O'Connor was looking good in defence, but then seemed to spend a fair bit of time up forward in the second, where he was less effective, but still, he looks more like an AFL footballer these days. That is, he's more decisive in his movements. Taylor, Roberts and Bell also had good patches.

Good game to watch in 2nd and 3rd quarters, Swans played well. In the end missed goals and a couple of crucial clangers were telling. However a few stronger and tougher Sharks players made the difference in the end.

I've nicknamed Sheldrick The Mole. Is it possible to get any closer to the ground? Sometimes he seems to pop up from below.

Gould has now put together a long string of solid games. I hope he gets a shot at AFL soon. He should be a good player for someone; I hope it's us.

I liked Rankin's game tonight. But Corey Warner had a hard time do anything.

O'Connor hasn't kicked the ball well all year. He doesn't seem to have adjusted to the game. But nice save on the goal line.

Kennedy looked classy at times, but despite the possessions, didn't have much influence on the game.

Mole or groundhog. I could go with either.

Our outside runners were all pretty quiet. As well as Warner, Hall-Kahan and Shipley didn't have much of it either. Not sure if it was just one of those days, good defence by Southport, or poor ball movement by us?

Groundhog is good. So is Wombat.

BTW, Brayden Crossley is only 22. He must've had a tough life.

Sheldrick has that old Kennedy knack of releasing the ball legally under heavy tackle pressure. He's also a ferocious tackler himself - I suspect all three of his free kicks were for holding the ball.

Crossley (BOG) was Sinclair's opponent. Sorry Callum the best is behind you. No wonder they are persisting with Naismith. Sheldrick and Gould were both outstanding tonight. Kennedy was good but nothing special. Best game from Wicks in a long time. Chad Warner's brother was lucky to even touch the ball. Bell got a few touches but also messed up many plays forward. Roberts and Rankin were both Just OK. Hall-Kahan had his first poor game. Southport are a dirty side. When you are running for the ball and in front the Southport player will push you in the back everytime. The Ump picked it up just once that I saw.

That is astonishing. I wonder if he has the desire to play at a higher level - there appears to be the potential. It maybe a life of skin fold and beep tests doesn't appeal to him for some reason...

I think it was more the drug tests that he didn’t appreciate, although given his current playing shape maybe those days are behind him.

Gus looks poised to force his way into the Seniors soon. Roberts is intriguing me. He played well earlier in the season and managed a senior game. His performance was off the pace and he was quickly omitted. Since returning to the Reserves, his performances appear to have been pretty average. A big off-season ahead of him by the looks of it!
