No. The people of Albury have come out in good numbers. They deserve better than assistant coaches umpiring.

I’m sure there are some really good local umpires who could do with the big time experience and sone extra money.

It’s a joke to have this fixture televised on Kayo and not have proper umpires.

As a subscriber to Kayo I’m not happy with this amateur hour decision.
One day you'll actually find something worth getting angry about.... and you'll go 'Oh' when you look back on some of your posts.

He is a good player and played well tonight. Don’t take my word for it, he played in the first 4 periods of the match with the AFL squad. Why do you think that is?

You are allowed your opinion , have at it
Blakey was also playing and he's straight into the squad. The only thing that's embarrassing is the persistent sledging, and from a person who should know better. Time to grow up and show some maturity.

He had a broken finger and missed a fair chunk of training. That would explain it.

Yep definitely 2021 again. Not only is the bash a thon in full tilt yet again, but now the old 'body language' clip is getting warmed up. Next week we will hear how he didn't bow at 85 degrees to Mecca before looking up at the umpire as a sign of the fact of weakness.
Make sure you take it slow and steady, wouldn't want you to run out of diatribe to expell before the season has even started.

Blakey obviously is not in our best team either - after all he played all the way through to the 6th quarter.....

The Rowbottom "Thing" is like Qanon - buggered if I know why its even mentioned.

Rowbottom was in at LEAST in our best top 5 players tonight. Is there an ignore function?

Because he needed to get more match fit after a slight injury in pre season. fairly obvious I thought.

The biggest surprise for me was Heeney starting in the centre bounces for all of the first quarter; the second was that (I think) Kennedy did not start there once.

I was at the gym trying to watch on tiny screen for much of the first 'half' as such - did Kennedy spend a bit of time almost playing as a defender at one bit?

But yep - was really noticeable to see Heeney spend lots of time in there early.

Practice game. I'm pretty confident that Kennedy doesn't need the practice in the middle.

It’s 2021 all over for you again MCS, giving myself and TheBloods a kicking again.

Seriously MCS as a passionate and intelligent fan are you happy to have assistant coaches umpiring? You have spent your highly valuable time watching the Swans and Giants and both clubs don’t provide you with an official umpire.

I thought you would be on my side with this one.

There is. But it's a bit faulty, because when someone quotes an ignored poster, you can see that ignored poster's post.

Jumped on to check out what's happening in the practice match, but most of what I'm seeing is the same silly histrionics from last year. Is it worth persisting with RWO in 2022 or will the same few take over every thread?

I'll come back tomorrow and see if anyone posts anything worthwhile from the match ie how players looked, any new roles, how the newbies shape up etc. It's a practice match and the actual result means zero. Zero.

How about posting meaningful stuff? And if you've posted more than a handful of times on a thread, or have repeated yourself ad nauseum on the same thing, maybe think about whether you need to post again.

Yes, agreed. It's devolved very sadly.
