Now he's a 192cm, 92kg midfield bull, who can go forward and take contested marks.
For the record, he’s 194 or 195. That’s my height, and by chance, I stood next to him in a queue at Canberra Airport when I was travelling for work and when he was flying to draft night a few years back. He’s my height, and even then, was built like a brick @@@@house. A monster of a kid. And gonna be a gun

Finally claimed back the grand old lady as our own. I suspect a lot of games v giants will be held here now.
The backline took a while to gell, but looked really well balanced in the second half. So good signs there. Paddy looks so much like reg Grundy from a distance. Seems about the same pace too.
      Top game by Hickey.

Just so happy for Paddy.....his joy to be back, in this interview, is palpable.

Great win after a tough fight. Thought we improved a lot as the game wore on. Special mention to Rowy, TB, as he battled hard and contributed. Ramps an Harry together with Tom Mc were below par but earned their spots in the second half. Ollie was great and Hayden Mc was useful.Parker won us the match and big Tom was a warrior. My only disappointment was young Wicks. I still don’t see what he brings to the team. It doesn’t look as though his goal kicking has improved either and he keeps tackling too high.

Thrilled with our effort and will to win!

Yes, I think that there's a good chance, that the further the season progresses, the more him and his brother will drive the opposition KPFs crazy. And by the way, he's the first number one pick to play for the Swans, since Darren Gaspar in 1995.

Enjoyable game of footy, despite the disappointing crowd. Absolutely deluded if anyone thinks 'insert this week's sponsor' stadium will ever be a regular AFL ground for use bar when it has to be used. Despite a plethora of free tickets was not a great crowd figure, and remains a bog average place to watch footy.

Plenty to work on but a hell of a lot to like too. Looking forward to watching the replay later today and seeing what I can pick up.

Nice analysis from mongrel punt as always. I think both teams have real potential to do well in 2022. Astounded Parker played as much forward as he did - I've always rated his forward craft and having him being able to be used as an impact player in the middle when we need leadership in there will be huge.

Still to be convinced by Kennedy down back, but I think he can build into the role.

Also only one goal between Buddy and Logan. We have so much room for improvement. I’m really enjoying this team.

Swans also kicked over 100 points (112).

Love the daring and attacking football. Run and carry, corridor and switch. Down the line is the last option and they try to avoid it if they can.

Even when Paddy centered the ball in defence and was picked off, i didn’t worry. To his credit he kept attacking the corridor.

Are people enjoying this attacking style of football more than the 2005 Paul Roos brand? 2005 did bring a premiership. This 2022 style is so good to watch.

Yup Rowbottom was fantastic in tight. 18 disposals at 83%. 13 contested possessions (2nd in game after Green). 10 tackles, highest in ground by 3! 99 Fantasy Points (3rd Swan, 5th in game). Coming of age game in my opinion.

Yes, stupid time for a game. Go day or night. Not both. Unless they use a pink ball.

Paying $26 for the Brownlow I am having a a little flutter because I have always felt he will win one so why not this year.
Should have 3 points in the bag already. It looked like Green was going to have a day out earlier - but I think LP was sent out to put a lid on him in Q2? The versatility might work against in the Brownlow*, however, but I thought the effort wherever he was playing was incredible. *Unless he can go forward and kick a bag-full every week.

A great win. Loved Rowbottom and Florent looking like they want to be our next generation midfield generals. Loved the run of Blakey & Mc Inerny. Paddy had a moment or two, but over all was composed. He may be mature in age but has not played a lot of footy. He could have many good years ahead.

Loved Cambell's goal, he really does had a good left foot. Heeney, Rampe, Parker, Mills all did their usual stuff. Harry C is a quiet acheiver. Took me a while to work out the Wicks has changed number as has Mc Lean. Both of them did good things. Hayward covers a lot of territory and always takes an important mark.

A lot to like about what we saw last night, umpiring wasn't too ridiculous, although a win does help. Hickey is a gem.

I wish the bickering would stop - or could be stopped.

On football, I have not seen proper acknowledgement of Hickey
                                As a Ruck:
                                * most hit outs; and only minimal support (tho McLean did a good job)
                                * 2nd most clearances of the Swans
As player, he was the go to, particularly in the last Qtr, as the exit from defence. Not as the big pack mark down the line, but smart positioning to get uncontested possessions. The sort of thing we praise Lloyd for.
