Jmac and Gulden are too good . Didn 't love Blakey , was kicking and hoping a bit but his run is fantastic . Mills the midfield leader - life after JPK wont be so bad , but we need the great man back in the mids . Logan fantastic , Mclean makes it hard to drop him but christ he makes some basic errors . Cant fault his effort but starting to think Bell wont make it , brain just always seems to be a few seconds behind his body . Chad fantastic , Heeney becoming a superb leader , Parker better .
Gonna put my foot in it ... but ... feel like you're missing someone?

Hate to be a selector in coming weeks. Tonight we were without Franklin, Papley, Wicks, Hickey and Kennedy ????

Yeah of course...I was more speaking just about our own personnel and how hard it will be to make decisions

You’ve almost nailed it TB- still missing 1! C’mon, you can do it- though it may hurt a bit…….

Ollie will start looking good: just start on your second!

We gained about 13 percentage points tonight. Shame we didn't get more against the Roos last week, but 4-1 and 130 percentage is a great start to the season!

I think we will get a better gauge of how good we are in coming weeks, but a lot to like tonight. I could not believe how easy we got out the back against the WCE going forward in that first half. Somehow I think the teams with good defenses like Melbourne will stop that from happening. Still, we should enjoy this win for a few days. A lot of good performances tonight.

Dare I say it, Ladhams might turn out to be a Tom Hickey. Someone I was ambivalent about when we got him.

Ladhams showed some reasonable ruck work but a good amount of fight when the ball was on the ground.

Actually, Bell kept West Coast in it.
                        His disposal is rubbish.

I know his opposition wasn'' great, but Ladhams game was very encouraging. Sure there's room for improvement with his tapwork, but his bullocking was obsolutely first rate.
Interesting to here from Horse that it was Tom who has been helping him prepare - Dean Cox was listed as an afterthought.

Wicks? Don’t think he’s coming in any time soon. Ronke is saving his career with some great form. Bell is doing a job and Papley will probably be back the game after next.

Hickey and Ladhams won’t be in the same team. Ladhams showed something last night. If Ladhams keeps his form up then the discussion will be interesting.

Franklin is irreplaceable but Kennedy will hopefully be a lot better after the rest.

Ronke is rated highly internally, is my understanding. He’s had a horrid run with injuries and no continuity to his game. I’ve had my doubts but if he can get a decent run at it, who knows. Paps will obviously claim Bell’s spot when he comes back, so Ronke and Wicks (who is also rated internally) will likely be competing for the one spot. A good problem to have.

I guess you could play both if you ditched Hayward, but he had a better game tonight and he is a goal scorer.

It’s a good squeeze we have on right now. Hickey, Bud, Paps, Wicks and in effect JPK started outside the 22, while Stephens, Amartey would be getting a game at a lot of other clubs, and the early signs on last year’s draftees seem encouraging.

Injuries will inevitably test that depth, but we’re building.

86% per AFL app. Interestingly, McLean was on ground most for Sydney - 94%.
