All done with only 16 disposals to his name imagine how good he will be when he hits the TB threshold.
As I posted on his own thread him picking up the 4 centre clearances (which was the most on ground)after some of the rubbish spouted on that thread yesterday almost felt like he was just doing it to spite TB.

Can we pay tribute to our list management team for having the nous to recruit Ben Reid

We know why Horse likes him. He is their for the harassment and he does a good job of it and all that happens downstream from that such as dumb kicks, dum handballs, Turnovers, free kicks and eventually a forward entry is a bonus.
I forgot to mention his 9 contested possessions in addition to the 13 he had the previous week.

Darcy accused Stevic of being one of the best in the business at one point.

By the way, bravo to Horse for the game plan and bravo to the players for executing it.

Melbourne don’t mind teams rushing them or a quick game. They hold their defensive structure so well in open play they just pick teams off and use the turnovers to roam back forward. Their small forwards in Sparrow and Spargo and Pickett are particularly good at being the link back when they’ve got the space and flow of open play to do so.

We were prepared to play a bit more tempo and when necessary go down the line to a contest and either punch the ball out of play or bring it to ground for stoppage. A territory first approach. It then allowed our players forward of the ball to get back on to their man and force their defence to be accountable, as well as set up better behind the ball ourselves.

It takes serious guts to do it given they have the best ruckman in the game and contested ball and clearance beasts like Oliver and Pertracca, but because we did the grunt and pressure work in tight, we were able to match them.

Nevertheless I was curious to see how close it was for McDonald to think it was a goal, particularly at stage of the game and considering other less significant incidents are replayed by the broadcaster.
I suspect we'll see the replay, and that it went through, on one of the Fox shows during the week.

Having not seen the boys in the flesh since getting touched up by the Suns over 12 months ago is just how much bigger and physically developed the team is becoming.
Ollie in particular is a very imposing unit now. Will has become a solid unit and showed his strength in a couple of marking contests last night.
Give Chad Errol and James another off season in the gym and our on-ball brigade in particular will be one that will be capable of physically dominating most teams.
The rest of the competition better watch out the Swans are coming.

You said it perfectly: an absolute champion. Hard as, every contest.

It’s not just Horse every supporter bar one or two with unfathomable agendas like him and his work rate.
I heard a couple of D supporters refer to him as a bloody terrier during the second quarter so it’s not just his own supporters who rate him.
                      And still only 21

In a post-game interview Logan said it was a goal, so he was pretty convinced.

I had been planning this trip for months, especially following the defeat last year and enduring the MCC members’ taunts and arrogance. The first quarter saw a state of deja vu, and I was beginning to wonder what could I do to become invisible.
I knew that we if we had kicked straighter or they kicked less straight then we would have been right in it but it was scary watching how easily they entered their forward fifty and were able to convert.
The second quarter saw RB completely dominate Oliver’s influence, a team approach to tackling and responsibility, great contested marking both forward and back and relentless pressure across the ground.
The second half became an arm wrestle with Gawn dominant but the Swans winning everywhere else. Blakey was outstanding, Rampe completely shut down Brown, the McCartin’s were amazingly brave and the Members were complaining (always a good sign from bullies).
This win was important not just from a ladder perspective but because we need to prove to ourselves that we are worthy, that teams need to fear us and that we are genuine contenders.
Why did we win, when so many times teams have not been able to resist the Melbourne onslaught once they’d gained the advantage? The belief and grit of this group of young men is surely remarkable and makes me humble to be a supporter of such a team.
                            A great night.

I put my money on Gerard Whately (AFL360) doing so, as the ARC decisions is his obsession.

Edit: I thought all tight goal shots are automatically reviewed?

Thanks, missed that one. I'm getting vibes of Tony Libatore in 97 PF Dogs v Crows at MCG.
