Eff the Fairypups for winning today! As much as I'm confident in beating the Dogs if we were to lose today, I'd much rather play Carlton in an elimination final. Too scarred by 2016 to trust playing the Dogs in a final....but if the Blues make it, there'll probably be a Vic 'romance' factor at play with the Blues as well. We just have to win today to avoid both in the first week.

Yep....the way his feet disappear in a forward motion from under him every time he feels contact going high....there's really no other player in the league that hits the ground backwards so quick when tackled. Blatant cheating and still exposing the incompetence of umpiring at the 'highest level'. It's a joke.

And Channel 7 didn't seem to want to show the replay. On my only view of the free, the Carlton player seemed to be gripping him at around lower ribcage level.

Carlton and Western Bulldogs have percentages that are very close. 108.9 and 108.8. This translates to a 2-point difference.

Carlton needs to score 2 points to start, then outscore Collingwood in a rough 49 to 45 ratio.

It's academic of course, as Collingwood are ahead by 19 points at half time.

What a choke by Carlton. How they screwed that one up with 90 seconds to go when all they needed was to find a way to force a point.

I hate the Dogs, but I hate Carlton just as much. So deserved they miss out like that.

Carlton in the last quarter kicked like we did against GWS in the elimination final last year.

Kind of. Read something today the only prior team were Essendon when they got kicked out for performing enhancing drugs.

7 News said Carlton was last to do it previously, in 1977.

Just to put my fave theory into perspective that it is not always the coach, Carlton gained Cerra, Hewett, and Young, and got Curnow, Cripps and Docherty back to full fitness, and . . . won just four extra games, to still miss the finals.

                            Not great.

I think that they missed the experience of George Hewett.

Yes, is a sad indictment on our otherwise great city if it can't support two teams properly. I don't get the GWS hatred
at all. It sounds remarkably like the rants of the VFL lovers down south. The GW$ tag is pretty lame. Our club has a
bigger revenue each year, and a chunk of it flowed in from Qatar Airlines and the crypto mob. Maybe we should be
called the $wans. Might be time to climb down from the high horse. It's a little unbecoming.
