Didn't Isaac (Heens) get it a few season ago? He was back fairly quickly, 5 weeks or less IIRC.....of course, that's not a comment on it's spread ability.

And Kieren Jack got glandular Fever in 2013 too.
The following from a report then.
"SYDNEY Swans co-captain Kieren Jack has revealed the extent of his early year bout of glandular fever, saying he feared the illness could derail his 2013 season.... the hard-working midfielder said he was bedridden for almost eight weeks, missing a major component of the club's pre-season program....Jack admitted may have partially been a result of celebrating "a little bit too hard" after the 2012 Grand Final win, ...missed a good six to eight weeks of training in January, during which he was pretty much bedridden."

Had it when I was 20. Out of business for 6 weeks and lost a lot of weight. Took me s couple of months to get over it.

Had it forty years ago and have never been the same since. Energy sapping.

How did Konstanty and Sheldrick go?
I don't think Konstanty was that heavily involved. I remember he was able to link up with handballs a few times. And he kept making little turn around leads. But I assume sometimes it is hard for small forwards to get possessions. He was part of the senior forward line so the next few weeks should be a good opportunity to get combinations going with them and be exposed to games at a higher intensity.

I did not notice Sheldrick that often on Saturday. He seemed to be playing midfield though sometimes started in the forward line when Papley went to centre bounces. But in recent weeks, he has looked good in midfield in match type scenarios. He usually gets involved and is clean with his hands and disposal.

Did your Tom Papley backpack wear out?

The new avatar? Nothing's for ever bloodspirit.
The AFLW season was a revelation for me. I know we went winless, but such a great vibe at the game and really good football.

Besides Ally's picture goes nicely with the motto - Ego alta, ergo ictus. Maybe I'll go completely fanboy and make some Tshirts, can't see Swasn marketing doing anymore about this idea than the Papley backpack.

I was meaning to acknowledge your new avatar RnR. With the thumbnail size and my fading eyesight, I wasn't sure if it was Ally or possibly Kate Reynolds. Glad to have the clarification. Ally is a beauty!!

I will probably walk past tramway again on Saturday morning to see if there is another intra club match.

Is it pre season??? I have seen plenty of updates from the other clubs, but I'm not sure if ours is participating this year...

Wowee, at least we get a mention... albeit in an article about Brisbane's match sim...

Senior players are at tramway. So assume there will be another intra club this morning.

I see that North Melbourne are streaming their intra live to their supporters through their app. Another example of a good media club...
