I worry that when it becomes all too hard our players minds go the Grand Final and we fall in a heap. We need to get between the ears right and fight harder to the end.

Lizard has been woeful, and heeney has gone missing. Ladhams is hopeless. Only bright spark for me is AmarteyComment

Oh yes we deserved that 50 point drubbing. Too slow, too hesitant, too buddy conscious, not accurate, not hungry enough. Perhaps they thought it would come easy? Lots of work to do.

Disappointing day.
Not because we were terrible - far from it. But we didn't do the simple bits well, and some of our guys are having slow starts to the season to say the least. A good wake up call however - and despite being below par, it was a lot closer contest than the final score suggested for most of it.
And it didn't influence the outcome - but if the AFL doesn't wake up to itself and get the focus back on umpiring the rules that matter, they will kill the game.
Too busy worrying about nonsensical 50s calls and a little bit of player frustration occasionally, instead of worrying about enforcing the important rules.
Must have been 20 incorrect disposals both ways not paid today. It is endemic in the game that players do what they want and get away with it under pressure.
It is killing the game as the balance is way too far towards the attacking team, and far too little reward for effort for good tackling, pressure and defence.
We need to get a focus back on doing the basics well and the rest will flow. Decent kicking for goal and it might have been a different game.

We were smashed at the contest today except in the second quarter. Accuracy just made it a 50 point thrashing instead of maybe a 30 point caning.
Petracca and Oliver too big and too strong for our midfield/followers today. Are we missing one bigger JPK/Hewett type player in the midfield?Comment
