      I know.

You have to combine football and hermeneutics to interpret my comments sometimes.

It burns when someone who should have been a father son rips the opposition a new one . Oh Josh Dunkley I wish you was a swan . I still remember being on holidays in Perth watching the draft and being dumbfounded we didn’t match the bid . But alas lots of politics behind the scenes played out instead

Although he was a trade request/flight risk, he was worth the risk.

Pick 25, same as Rowbottom. Hayward was a pick 21. He is far better than either of them.

Didn't we help out the wishes of the family? Plus a lingering grudge from Dad didn't help.

We burnt his dad, and this is the long term ramifications. He will never come to sydney

Burnt him? Kelly and Schwass retired gracefully. Dunkley wanted to play on but club disagreed. Hardly burnt him and we were premiers a couple of years later.

I agree he will never come now. But I think we should have asked him to nominate without condition and then backed our culture. If he wanted out after his first contract we could have traded him then.

What would we lose? Our next pick that year was Leonardis at 51! We would have bundled up that pick and later picks. Even if we lost him after two years, we would have gotten something better than a pick 51 (and round 4 and 5 picks) back for an early 2nd round player that was highly rated.

He wasn't going to come. End of story.

I be more worried about the talent we lost. Mitchell, allir, Dawson.

From excitement and anticipation from mid last year (after early weak showing against North, and losses against the Suns and weakened Port) as a top four team and possible top two chance to…

Anxiety and lack of confidence in our team. Yes we could easily have two more wins (vs Port and GWS) and be higher up the ladder, but it just seems so shaky at the moment.

                        On the list management side…

We’ve known for years that Reid (who isn’t getting younger) and Melican have injury woes. Almartey to an extent too. Franklin ageing etc has been said to death already. The coaches clearly didn’t have confidence in Gould.

So why haven’t we recruited talls in the National draft, rookie draft, and trades other than a doubtable Francis? We need a Van Rooyen right now more than a Sheldrick. Same for the talls we passed up on to grab Ling or Florent.

Talls take longer to develop so we should be drafting them, as we certainly don’t seem to have much success trading them in on recent years (but lots trading out, Aliir, Nank, Cameron, Membrey).
Yeah, IN HINDSIGHT, I could come to all those same conclusions.

Seems easy to burn a sook. Andrew will surely look back on his behaviour and realise he has acted like a child and if he doesn't, he can **** off.

Hey Swannies..we are up against a very good team tomorrow..they have injuries..we have injuries..the best side on the day will win..if that is not us I suggest we don’t get feral on the players in the red and the white..they play their hearts out..no one hurts more than them when they don’t get the results we and them want … for 60 years I have loved the red and the white.. I don’t like to see’ supporters ‘ turn on them when they don’t get the results that they and we want
