Be tough to be a fwd with no clean ball fwd, hard to believe the clearances numbers on AFL app...... i saw a team that hardly possessed the ball and didnt win the 50/50
Campbell, Sheldrick and Ollie good.
So much not too like, be hard for Paps to attack the ball so hard and so much zip to watch Jmac who looks like he is stoned ball in handComment

Games are nearly always turgid when it is Lyon vs Longmire. Will always be that way - but that was right up there with the very worse.
I think Longmire has been a sensational coach and is a huge part of the club. But I do wonder if we are reaching that point where a change is needed - more so for a fresh start than anything else, and a different voice at the helm. I've struggled this year to understand what type of footy we are trying to play. I know injuries have hurt us, but tonight was as disjointed as you'll see - what you expect in the first week of pre season, not at this point in a season.
Maybe we will get the fresh start next year when Buddy is gone and suddenly players aren't so desperately trying to kick to him every five seconds.
I do wonder on the subject of Buddy just how many goals he would have kicked had he got even a resemblance of balance in how he is umpired. Just insane what defenders get away against him but go up the other end (or indeed most other players) and the actions are a clear free kick."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Great another 2 years of that turgid rubbish, do you think another 2 seasons with the Premiership the club might finally work out its time to move on. 10+ years far any coach is too long, the only exception was Sir Alex Ferguson every other coach has consistently failed after the 10 year period.
Players have gone backwards at a rate of knots, the debacle of the GF is coming back to bite.
A performance like that should never have been excused the way it was. Being beaten is fine being embarassed isnt.Comment

Maybe the thing that hurts most is that St Kilda was bagged so hard for their recruitment and strategy by half this forum last few years
Saints vision and resolve to go hard for Ross is an A plus move.
Their brand of footy is building nicely and very hard to break down. Very hard.
Maybe 5th on the table in 2023 is a pass?
But we did have 5 of so snr best 22s not playing and I must say our game day strategy is lacking any flexibility right now to counter smart teams.
We had nothing to kick to and we were nullified and taken to check mate in the end."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Shocking game from us-too many mistakes, fumbles, miss-kicks, bad handballs and at least 3 passengers: Clarke, Wicks and Hayward. Also poor from JMac. The rest tried hard but simply not good enough on the night. We can’t carry this many passengers!
Can’t see Clarke and Wicks in the team as they are just not up to scratch. Surely we can find better as we’re going nowhere with those 2- I’m sorry but we need more talent than those guys can deliver.Comment

Positives
Campbell was excellent
Melican was solid again
Sheldrick showed some good signs as an inside bull
Negatives
Hickey looks done
McInerney has lost all energy in his kicking
Heeney gets a knock again and struggles
Wicks and ClarkeComment

Ross totally out coached Horse today. Not to mention our incredibly bad disposal rate, 46%. You have got to be joking. I am very angry. This is the worst defeat. They just palp tzed the ugh us in the last. That tells me pwe ARE UNFIT. We are not fit to AFL standard.
Our mids made it so hard for the forwards. Not only that I did not see more than one shepherd today. One. That means our players are not playing for each other. Horse hates shepherd's. He said so. Now it is coming home to bite him. Because Ross loves shepherd's and he @@@@ing beat you Horse

One of those years with injuries etc where we've never got going. Can happen. Of course, some will turn on club and coach. Didn't know shepherding was so crucial. Haven't seen it on the stats sheet but you know better.Comment

Horse was out coached, outsmarted and totally dominated by Ross and he had no answer. He just yelled. @@@@ you. At least make changes that are going to make a difference. Don't just go totally defensive like you did. Ross knew you would do this. The players did not know who they were playing on. Didn't have a, clue what they were doing and if they got the ball how to get it out. There was nobody to kick to except a big wall of Saints players. You effing idiot. Even up the play. Do not drop everybody back you panicking @@@@wit.
As much as I like Horse, as a person his days of coaching our talented group are over. He panicked. He put every player except McLean back.
Time to look for someone new. I think Horse has taken us as far as he can
