General footy chat Round 13: the other games. Ugghhh!

I'll just very briefly start the thread during the VFL half time break. I think about the only way our season stays alive, is for Brisbane to suffer a large amount of injuries against Hawthorn on Saturday, to give us some sort of chance of beating them next week. Probably shouldn't really be hoping for carnage, but they've hardly had any for the last four or five seasons, so perhaps that extraordinary good luck is due to turn.

Of the other clashes, the Big Freeze game on Monday perhaps has the most appeal. Will the Collingwood hype continue or will Melbourne turn the clock back to a couple of seasons ago?

This is a round where I'm glad there is some cricket to watch instead.

Don't like complimenting the Poodles in any way at all - will never forgive or forget 2016 - but the first quarter of their game with the Power has been a ripper!

All out attack by both sides and 10 goals kicked.

        C'mon Power!!

Thankfully Port has done the job on the F-pups. The umps tried but Port just too good. Also, gee I wish Horne -Francis played for us! What a bloody gun player!

Power were very good and played a very entertaining brand of footy.

Lovely to see them beat the Poodles!!

Terrific match, and not a little Schadenfreude that the Dogs were robbed of a goal by a technical umpiring decision. But my god, they throw the ball about 70% of the time and it’s ignored. Port are great to watch this year, I wouldn’t mind seeing them beat Collingwood in the GF since we’re highly unlikely to be making finals.

Thought the same thing. Losing 2 key backs cruelled us in that game, and we only lost by 25cm or so.

Warner and Smith's antic's actually have me hoping India make a comeback.

The Australian team will be much more likable once Warner retires.

I haven’t watched the cricket so please Barry enlighten me to the antics of Warner and Smith.

Brisbane look like they barely remember how to play footy. Hope they play like this next week

Hawks completely outplaying Lions in the last quarter.

Hawthorn kicked 10 of the last 13 goals!

Now THIS is an embarrassing loss. Brisbane are pretty much full strength playing a bottom three side. Hawks are on the improve, but this has been an inept performance from a team in the Premiership conversation.

Wash your mouth out! However, I agree with the second sentence.
