We have some players returning from injury as well. Buddy a watch but Swans stars a chance to return
Heeney will return. Tom McCartin, Callum Mills and Logan McDonald a chance. Franklin likely to miss again.
SEN has tipped us to win by 89 points while mentioning that West Coast's last two away games were beltings by 122 points (Adelaide) and 116 points (Hawthorn)."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Every game is a danger game to me, especially after #AlmostNorthGate. We are quite capable of losing to anyone on our day.
I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
Glad Buddies out. Hope Buller stays and kicks a few and that the Wombat spends quality time in the middle.Comment

I'm hoping that West Coast bring a strong(ish) team ready to play, and that they really take it up to the Swans.
Our season is past the point of needing a large win to gain percentage. We do need to remember how to play four quarters of tough, cohesive football, and we might have close to our best side available for the first time since the early rounds. Next week we play Geelong and I am desperately hoping we can atone for that absymal performance at Kardinia Park early in the season. I'm prepared to "forgive" them for the grand final. Kinda. But we can't afford to have this mental fear of playing Geelong.
We saw it against Collingwood for a large part of the Roos era, certainly the back-end. Regardless of the relative form and strength of the two teams, our guys visibly went to jelly as soon as they ran onto the field against Malthouse's Pies. It was annoying, and I desperately hope we aren't in the process of developing the same fear of Geelong. To the eye it looked like, both times, Geelong physically bullied and overwhelmed our younger side. But Geelong don't bully and overwhelm other young sides to quite the same extent, and nor are we usually bullied and overwhelmed by bigger, older sides.
There's nothing to be gained from beating up on a lacklustre West Coast if we are then subjected to a third installment of a horror trilogy the following week.Comment

I think (unfortunately), if McDonald comes into the side, then Buller comes out. Will be interesting though the following week when Buddy is probably playing, what sort of line-up we go with.
I can't recall whether we have played all of Amarty, Buddy, McDonald and McLean all in the same side with Hickey as well. Seems pretty tall, especially in Winter when it's probably either wet or cold and slippery.

It would definitely be good to beat them next week. Getting the injured players back this week and a decent hit out against the Weagles would be a start.Comment

I fully agree with Liz and hope WCE bring a strong side. We need to start playing 4 quarter footy with cohesion across all lines. Being challenged will help the process. We have to go 8-2 to make finals, so a lot has to change to make that happen. Otherwise, we are just playing for draft position.Comment

My guess is that Hayward is almost the first forward selected each week. He does stuff that the coaches value highly and that we supporters pay no attention to.
My source is the horse's mouth. Not the Horse's mouth, but that of one of his underlings, who addressed a function I attended before a match a month or two back.Comment

I looked at our remaining fixture and thought we could run 9 games if we had McDonald and McCartin back in side Of course, a lot of luck has to come our way with injuries, umpires and goal kicking accuracy, but the team is good enough when playing up to capabilities. Unlikely to happen, but would make for a great story if it did.
