Despite keeping a low profile at the moment, I can only 100% agree with this post. Remember very well many losses in a row in the early 90s. Still supported the team.

Lynch on Wakelin in the 2004 GF springs to mind any one of those blows connected would of been lights out for him.I can see the possibility where in a grand final a player purposely concusses a good player from the opposition side to help win the premiership. They wouldn't care about being suspended for several weeks to start the following season. A send off rule would make sense to prevent this.Comment

The club has survived a number of Kafkaesque scenarios. This season isn't one of them.Comment

Coaches' votes, R17: Pie moves clear on top, six perfect 10s
Unsurprisingly, most of the votes went to Tigers players. Bolton. Martin. Nankervis.
But there was decent recognition for Errol and minor recognition for Ollie.
Errol must be the only Swan to consistently poll votes in games we lose. Not a bad effort for a third year player - and I'm taking it as a given that we're not losing because he's playing well, but despite him playing well.Comment

I dont think supporters are angry. Maybe just a bit annoyed at their inability to fight back when challenged. Led St Kilda by 20 pTS, GWS by 25 pts, Richmond by 26 pts, Port Adelaide by 20 pts etc.Comment

For sure. As a supporter, either you are onboard or you are not. There are 18 teams, mostly they are busting their ass to be the
best they can. Only one can win the flag each year. Does that negate the efforts of the other 17? No f-ing way. Sit near the fence
and watch our players scrapping over a ball 5M away and tell me they are not having a go. That's all you can ask. Supporting
the team and going to games since the mid 80s has been a pleasure. There's going to be ups and downs, that's
the way this footy gig works.Comment

An old South supporter here, too, BF and the last 25 or so years have been just heavenly!

I notice Errol has crept onto the AFL Coaches Association leader board. With Chad's injury, he'd be a warm Bob Skilton Medal favourite at this stage.Coaches' votes, R17: Pie moves clear on top, six perfect 10s

Yes, at the moment, there's probably not too many players that are pushing him. Blakey? Florent? Parker: assuming that you can win if you've been suspended? Lloyd?Comment

Losing centre clearances with such regularity makes it hard to defend a lead like that under the satanic 666 rules.
I can see why Longmire is keen to secure a clearance “beast”. I have hopes it could be Sheldrick. Did his injury on Thursday limit his CBAs?Comment
