True re underrated
what is important to team performance, consistency, the coaches, the players seems to have a different category of praise vs what us novices and or media call "underrated"
i mean if you make the top23 in any AFL team on a week in week out basis you are "valued""be tough, only when it gets tough"

The other day I heard somewhere that James has never received a Brownlow vote. This is possibly the reason why all his teammates have nominated him as most underrated.Comment

I have just purchased 3 tickets for the Collingwood game at the MCG and was annoyed with the lack of choice I had through the Ticketek web site for general admission seats. The only available seats were in section behind the goal posts on M bays level 1. The website showed that there were no other seats available. What a farce. No impressed. For 3 refundable tickets it cost me $252. Is this the general going rate?Comment

I'm looking at buying 4 x tickets, but higher up in the stands - nothing showing as available, so I'll just cross my fingers and wait for more availability.I have just purchased 3 tickets for the Collingwood game at the MCG and was annoyed with the lack of choice I had through the Ticketek web site for general admission seats. Ticketek still can't get it right by the looks of things.... They're a disgrace.Comment

Given how big a membership Collingwood has, and how much of the MCG is set aside for MCG and AFL members, it's probably not surprising that little is available to the general public. It may be that other tickets won't come available until the week before the game, when members return tickets that they won't be using. But those offer the prospect of sitting surround by an ocean of Pies fans.Comment

Ticketek (and Ticketmaster too) have started using dynamic pricing where the prices are put up in advance of the event and reduced if they have can't sell them. It's a disgrace, and is effectively legalised scalping.
As an example, I went to a concert the other week with the tickets selling at $450 when they were released, and a couple of weeks out from the show they were reduced to $250.Comment

As agents, surely the Two Ts only do that on instruction from the event organiser. They might have introduced the technology to support it, but the AFL sets prices for games so must be the one deciding how to sell them.Ticketek (and Ticketmaster too) have started using dynamic pricing where the prices are put up in advance of the event and reduced if they have can't sell them. I vaguely recall Collingwood having a less than generous view on where to place visiting members (and others I figure).
My favourite spot is Level 2 and all other residents of MCG are willing to grant my wish as a visiting club member, I'm always on one of the 50m lines.
Was even granted that spot at last years Elimination Final.
Collingwood? Nope.
I ordered tickets for the Collingwood, Richmond and Hawthorn games at the MCG, given the same spot for Richmond and Hawthorn (N29), not an option for Collingwood (M50).
I recall complaints about this in the news some time last year.Attached FilesComment

May well be when they're unfurling the flag too? When the three village idiots, Brown, Montagna and Ricciuto don’t think we can make the finals, then you know we are a certainty to make it. What a tiresome pack of loud mouthed clowns.Comment

Don’t think we can or don’t think we will?
I think expect this season to be much like last, with a huge group of teams and little to separate them. I expect most teams to be capable of beating any other team “on their day”. Who makes the top eight will come down to lick with injury and the ability to edge out (or not) close games.
When it’s possible to make a case for most teams to make the top eight, anyone trying to get non-2023 finalists in has to take someone out. It’s a very hard prediction to make.
My main criticism of all those making their predictions in the media is that they are expending so much energy and earnestness doing so.Comment
