Bizarrely, long time medium defender, Blake Hardwick, has kicked four goals in the first quarter against Port; although he has played a bit as a forward this year. Slightly less bizarre, Hawthorn lead 38-7.

Here's hoping Hawthorn finish the job. They are currently up by 6 goals.

I found myself half-heartedly calling "ball!" when Hawthorn laid a tackle and it felt very strange. If I find myself calling for a high contact free to Ginnivan, I might have to turn the TV off.

Yes, we will always look back on that game and wonder....but I think it's obvious the Wicks thing affected team morale that week and we were off.

It was a serious anomaly and it's definitely time to move on.

Many of the team were quite unwell. Typically, the club has not used that as an excuse in any way. Unfortunately it also coincided with Richmond’s strongest team of the year.

Unwell? Must have missed that completely. I still reckon the Wicks thing was a factor....but whatever the reason, let's move on now....we're one and half games clear on top.

Let's look to the future....which looks very bright.
