Its the cut paste 110 times that hurts.
I did that from 2007 back to 1980 which took a "small" amout of time, text to cols is automatic, but then formatting it into something I could turn into a usualble DB was the worst of it. I've got down to letter C (it's in surname order). Wedge.Mav is going to add some more number for me. Then Give me a couple of years to get it up and running.

Once I get my old computer back up and running I'll be able to input the data from that site into my existing spreadsheet, which is the one Scott used for the database here

Well, the guy that runs http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/alltime/swans.html has most kindly given me 3 versions of the swans numbers.

One is similar to the one you have built Ert. I'll send it to you.
There is no guarantee on the data as he stated, he just built it from gathering the info himself.

I'm currently redesigning the player numbers stuff, and now with the data, it should be up and running soon.

With the kind help of wedge.maverick the numbers DB has been updated.

Find it on the RWO Links on the Navbar, or Player Numbers

If there are any alterations let me know.

Recently, on aflinsider.net they had a list of the best players in recent years (last 20?) wearing each number, e.g. Adam Goodes was the best 37 ever, Kirky was the best 31 etc. Paul Bevan may even have been the best 42!!!!!

Why dont we have a best Swans player to wear each number poll...but due to the age of most Swans supporters and the more recent move to Sydney, lets limit it to players who have worn the number since 1960

It will create some great debates...such as...

            1. Paul Roos vs Barry Hall
            2. Nick Davis vs Wayne Schwass vs Greg Williams
            3. Dale Lewis vs Gerard Healy
            4. Tony Lockett vs Ben Mathews
            5. Ryan O'Keefe vs Ian Roberts vs John Rantall
            10. Paul Williams vs Barry Mitchell
            14. Bobby Skilton vs Paul Kelly
            etc

If people think this is a good idea I will set up a poll for each number, one at a time...which will run for 1 day

How come it ends with 1912?
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

That's when numbers were first used.

Good idea IAG, you might want to run it for more than 1 day though at this time of year. Either that or wait a few months until traffic picks up on here.
