We were in Q13 top of the Southern Stand so we had an amazing view of everything.

I jumped up when Leo took THAT mark...then my wife yelled there's the siren!!!! I hugged her and started to cry, sob would be a better description. Then hugged the old couple in front of us and the lady and her mum next to us...then a WCE supporter shook my hand, then halfway through the song I joined in and sang and sang and sang.....

I had to watch the DVD to see what the players did after the siren, cos I had no idea I was to busy hugging and kissing evry Swans supporter in sight.

When I got the Swans magazine in the post, I couldn't help thinking of this thread when I read Richard Colless' article on 2005.

Seemingly within seconds of Leo's wonderful mark a sound burst forth from the MCG that to my ears sounded like a fleet of Jet aircraft taking off. The sight of tens of thousands of hitherto intelligent people jumping up and down on the sopt whilst screaming unintelligibly was, I suspect, unprecedented in the history of AFL Grand Finals and perhaps even Australian sport. One of our former long-standing directors, Bill Macartney, sent me some footage that he'd recorded on his mobile phone...and it confirmed my recollection of that minute or so after the siren had sounded. People embracing, jumping, screaming, crying.

I think, for me, that this sums up exactly how I felt, well written Richard, keep up the good work.

when the siren went i was so excited . i was so happy i think i wept continuously for the next 10-15minutes as our boys collected the cup and did there lap of honour.
